Surprise! MGS4 was a VR mission set in 1984!
At the end of TPP its revealed that the entire series was a prototype VR mission being run by The Boss.
"Wow, so if we go for Sokolov, all of this could happen?"
Decide to stick to trusty D-Horse for future runs. Have upgraded its armour so now wears a riot shield on its face. Hardcore.
Alright, the confirmation that boss fights still maintain the open world factors and let you improvise like with a [sp]sniper duel against Quiet,[/sp] that part of my fears is elated for the time being.
I also upgraded my iDroid so I can play music out loud [through the speakers] – not great for stealthy runs, but good for dramatic entrance.
Fucking 10/10 GOTY.
Big Boss’ prosthetic arm can be leveled up. You add duration to reflex, stun, a rocket, explosives or sonar.
This will be great.
I wonder what quirks there are in the game. Like firing your rocket arm up a guys ass causing everyone to flee in terror. Sort of like killing an enemy in an especially brutal way in Bulletstorm caused all the enemies watching to stop shooting and gawk at what you just did
I remember seeing this leak years ago... before MGS4 was released.
Yep, you're right- turns out when my friend showed me this, he was intending to show the last time a MGS playtesting session leaked important info. I took it as MGSV playtesting leaks, and reacted accordingly. It's been a long day.
This will be great.
But is it a can opener?
But is it a can opener?
shoot the rocket at the can to open it.
problem solved.
So I'm reading a mission where you [sp]have to kill 3 commanders or something. You bet your ass I'm extracting them.[/sp]
Peace Walker is alright as a game. Not the best however.
I can beat Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (yes) and MGS 1-4 many times. On different versions and different consoles. And I'll never feel bored. However that is not the same for Peace Walker. PW is pretty much more MGS4 than 3. It's not really what I wanted. Nice change, but... Poorly done. Poorly written. And... I kind of did not care for the characters much. At least, compared to the other games in the series. Even 2 strangely enough. Because it got to this point where it didn't matter. The codec convos happens optionally, and emphasis on characters is less implied if anything.
Some may say that's a good thing. I say it's not.
And, to be honest, I never really liked the bosses in PW. Some may be like "WAT?", hear me out, okay?
In the previous Metal Gear and/or Solid games you would find a weapon and use that same weapon to kill a boss. Straight Forward and simple, usually how I like it. I don't like when I have to have a team of mastered R&D experts manufacturing my invisible rocket cunter. Because most of my team members are incompetent anyway and cannot be assigned to a job since they're useless. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. And it makes it easy for someone to just say "get good". Yeah thanks.
I beat PW like... Two years ago. And a lot of fun it was. Was not the best, but... It was apart of the HD collection and it did run smoothly so I was a little satisfied at least.

ROCKET PEACE!
[editline]aaah[/editline]
oh crap
Blowing up tanks to The Man Who Sold the World is pretty spectacular.
David Bowie confirmed.
David Bowie confirmed.
If Diamond Dogs isn't in this I'll be sad
If they got The Man Who Sold the World in, I see no reason why shouldn't it be too.
I'm gonna be pissed if they don't have Diamond Dogs
I hope MGSV has more than just MGS1's sneaking suit
I liked the Portable Ops and MGS2 one as well

Konami: "Now you know why we fired him... If we didn't, you would have rallied the streets towards our headquarters, to crucify him on city square for his elaborate ruse!"

Would be 11/10 if we could import our own music.
Assaulting a base at the sound of "No W", completely unstoppable?
I dunno, I can't express how much awesome that would be.

Even if that feature makes it into TPP, like Ground Zeroes, it will be restricted to only PS3 and 360 users.

it wasn't on pc due to it not being a port priority, even if the functionality lies deprecated within its files

Keep in mind that the PS4 has since gotten the ability to play music from a USB stick.
Kojima has probably kept that in mind during TPP's development.

I have no clue why Sony didn't just include the ability to play CDs with the PS4.
It's not like it's a dead format. It's still widely used. Hell, even the Xbone has CD playback.

God, would it be amazing to get every Bowie song on record. We'll probably just get a few (licensing is a bitch), but that would be amazing.

It doesn't even really matter, being able to import custom music and all.
How many peeps are getting the PS4 version? Just curious, wondering if we could set up some FP MGO games before PC comes out (since you need to wait for like a week)
I have every Metal Gear game on a sony console, it'd be wrong not to get the PS4 version.
