I distinctly do not remember him [sp]gripping the bullets between his fingers in the trailer.[/sp] Sure we all figured but that all but confirms who it is.
Yeah it's pretty obvious that it's [sp]Sokolov[/sp].
Just imagine if this is what happens. All this bad shit happening is a gambit by Ocelot so they can spend more time together
Old Snake: "You stole 2 Metal Gears, in which on one you sunk a ship for that and on another you assaulted and took over an artic base, stole 2 Arsenal sized ships, took down SOP, put 4 chicks with PTSD in powered combat suits and thousands more into state of the art skin tight battlesuits that grapple to the wall, faked being Liquid, killed a clone in vegetative state, shot a gilf, and tortured me 3 fucking times before eventually stabbing my hand with a knife... Why Ocelot, WHY?! WHY ALL THE WORK?!" Ocelot: "IT WAS BECAUSE I LOVED YOUR FATHER D,:" [editline]22nd May 2015[/editline]
We've theorized it since the initial trailers and the original viewings of the figure, and it was never really subtle to begin with, but that pretty much proves the whole [sp]Volgin's ghost[/sp] thing. In particularly potential spoiler discussion, [sp]"Those Who Don't Exist", the ghost of Volgin and potentially others, and one of those who tweeted impressions saying 'remember a certain psychic, this game's about to screw with you just as hard' or something like that, it's pretty evident someone's going to try and use Big Boss' past transgressions against him very aggressively at the least.[/sp]
Oh, I was more expecting [sp]Volgin and the others to be reanimated and enhanced by some sort of very early super soldier genome therapy thingamabob, which would fall in line with the masked bald super soldiers we see in the trailers.[/sp] Plus it would be awesome. Maybe more than that idea, but thats just me. [editline]22nd May 2015[/editline]
Yeah it's pretty obvious that it's [sp]Sokolov[/sp].
[sp]Sokolov's[/sp] fighting technique is much more advanced than that, for sure :v:
I've decided that the next megathread should be "A Hideo Kojima Thread".
The identity of that character leaked months ago when, for some reason, they put the character's name out in the public when they showed the figure off at a convention.
The identity of that character leaked months ago when, for some reason, they put the character's name out in the public when they showed the figure off at a convention.
His identity didn't need a leak. You just have to look at him for more than three seconds and it becomes obvious as to who he is edit: LOOK AT THIS

I think that red demon thing is going to be a combination of people/things. The Volgin stuff is definitely apparent though.
Would that even be street legal?

There are no mirrors, speedo, or rev counter
I don't think so.
What, some kinda ghost, surrounded by fire? clearly, it's[sp] paz [/sp]
-a terrible joke-
Saw the models up close in mcm, really good quality, in the booth they had a radio that was playing nuclear

-nevermind-
I think that red demon thing is going to be a combination of people/things. Maybe some incredibly vague relation to Psycho Mantis but that honestly seems like an incredibly stretch. Mind pointing out what it is that makes you think that?
Nothing really. It'd just be kinda weird if Volgin came back. Big Boss didn't really have any sort of relationship with him other than he was the big bad leader dude he beat up. I don't even think Big Boss ever said anything to him.

Either to serve as a source of just plain, straight up evil, or to give some motivation and character to the only villain in the series who was pretty much just a cartoon bad guy. Well, the only one except for in Peace Walker.
I don't see how fire-Volgin could be anything other than an complete hallucination or someone that Big Boss is projecting his looks on. Volgin can really be personified as the trauma of the entire operation snake eater.
I made a countdown because of reasons http://marmaduke.co.nf/mgs5-countdown/

Plus he's one of like the three characters in the entire series who actually managed to beat the living shit out of Big Boss.

He's ugly, he's a rapist, he takes pleasure in murder and destruction, and he's very nearly unstoppable.

I'd say the amount of shit Volgin takes to finally die almost rivals Liquid.

It looks like there's a demon version of the boss as well I think it's just all of BBs past come to haunt him
Fire Volgin is probably just a hallucination from young Psycho Mantis or something.
But Liquid has the best VA ever so... Liquid wins.
There's something weird about hearing Cam Clarke and Robin Atkin Dowes for years thanks to Metal Gear, and then rewatching Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island and hearing the gardener be Cam Clarke with a more rougher version of his Liquid (or rather, Miller) voice.
