Not Metal Gear related, but I really hope Kojima and Del Toro can make Silent Hills as scary as Silent Hill 2. I just started and played a bit of SH2 and I practically had an anxiety attack.

Reminder that "People will remember only the good part, the right part about what you did." is something Raiden said and "silence beats talk." is said by Richard Ames.
Apparently a patch for PC GZ was released shortly ago, if you modded your game at all it'll reinstall the data files the hard way so be wary. There's claims that the weapon reload animations and shell casings were fixed, not sure if confirmed.

Richard Ames is quiet
The patch notes are small but significant adding the following:
- When the Camera Y Axis is set to Reverse, the camera movement with the mouse will reflect the change
- Under some conditions, there was a "Low Memory" error a few minutes after launching the game. This issue has been fixed.
- When some USB devices were connected the game didn't launch. This issue has been fixed.
Additionally the patch also has incorporated some community identified bugs:
- Certain gunfire animations weren't properly displayed. This issue has been fixed.
- The animation for empty shells ejecting during gunfire wasn't properly displayed. This issue has been fixed.
- The Windows Screensaver, under certain conditions, interrupted gameplay. This issue has been addressed.
"We never felt truly alive unless we were staring bugs in the face."
:vaginabomb:
Also what gun animations weren't working properly?
After hell was brought upon me, I finally got to build my beastmode PC, and played Ground Zeroes for the first time today.
Holy shit is it harder than the other games, but I A ranked it, so woo.
I'm not sure I like the 'There's an enemy about to spot you from this direction' indicators. Feels too much like Splinter Cell. Not that they aren't useful, but coupled with reflex they seem to make the game too easy. I guess MGS3 and MGS4's enemy alert style wouldn't fit the photorealistic quality of this game so well.
without a minimap (or mgs3 radar/sonar) it's not as easy to stay aware of enemy locations, especially with the low field of view
The tagging helps but you still need to keep looking around a lot, I personally don't mind the spotting direction thing. Reflex is a bit dumb though.
spotting's great but if they could fix the soldier despawning bug it'd be even better
one thing i ran into on the ps3 moreso the pc is whenever i turn my camera away from a stood-up enemy, id hear them go "HAUGH". lots of camera movement meant constant gasping/yelling from guards. i think this is related to the despawning/unloading at certain camera angles, but boy when you use audio cues to make sure nobody is finding anything suspicious...
Also I got bored and decided to mess with the NPC's, I was the most stealthy when I was in an AA gun, mowing down soldiers.
Apparently nobody knew where I was. I mean come on now.

That's why I say the better way to play MGSV is going to be on hard, with no spotting, no spot direction indicators, and no reflex mode. The game is extremely challenging with these settings. You can still spot soldiers, and then use your iDroid to see their location. It's just less obvious and more cumbersome for the player to keep track of it.
Today is the day the Legacy collection should be arriving I can't wait.
Is it possible to add custom music to the walkman in GZ?
There is a menu called title_import_music.uigb (which is currently not used) in the game files.
I hope guards wont be psychic anymore in TPP.
That's so fucking stupid and I hate it.

When I've gotten spotted without it, rather than wait 2 minutes for the alter to drop, I just massacre everyone in the base. It's REALLY easy to do with a mouse, even on hard.
But then you'll never S rank anything.
Did anyone elses GZ start downloading an update, 1.5 gig?

If you modded your game at all, it just replaced the base data files to patch the game.

oh.

Even with a controller it's piss easy. It's really weird, they've made it ridiculously hard to avoid a full alert if you get spotted without reflex, but then at the same time they've made the combat so ridiculously piss easy that going into a big alert and murdering everyone/running away literally takes no effort.
What the hell happened to only nearby guards who actually see/hear you being aware of you, and needing to report you through radio to start an alert?

I miss that about MGS2/3. The guards were so much more interactive in those games.
I want them to bring all of that back in TPP.
