Oh my god, that's big boss's missing eye
Huge surprise but to be honest, didn't MGR get only praise? Another game is more than welcome. But I can already see topping the boss fights and songs will be quite the challenge.

we're playing as big boss's missing eye confirmed
it'll play like pinball
I just hope it doesn't end up taking place in between MGS2 and 4. Saving Sunny with the PLA just sounds like the most boring fucking plot for an action game.

It is almost certainly going to be after MGS4. If I remember right Platinum decided to put it after 4 because they didn't want to mess with the series canon, I doubt that's changed with the sequel.

Kojima stated he wanted to write the story to the sequel back when MGR:R was released, so it could change.
We'll have to see.

Oh, really? I didn't know that.
Just finished MGS1 for the first time and wow, what a great game. Really, really surprised me that while a few parts ranged from annoying to incredibly frustrating, the game holds up incredibly well for a game released for the PS1 in the late 90s. Expected something a lot more dated than what it was, but instead I got a game that made me feel more immersed than a lot of the games today. Just one question, [sp]from what I understand, and from what my brother told me, the Otacon ending isn't canon, right? Should I watch the Meryl ending cutscenes before continuing on to MGS2 or is it basically the exact same ending but she's alive instead of dead?[/sp]
Now on to MGS2, heard that it's considered the best entry out of the MGS series by a lot of fans so I'm really excited.
Also, I posted this onto /r/metalgearsolid a few days ago but I'm not sure how many of you browse that, so I'm going to repost it- here's some Metal Gear Solid:PW x Superjail opening OC I made, to be read to the tune of the intro to SJ-

only reason I don't want a rising before mgs4 is because then you'd have to go over a lot of act 3 shit again
also I think that whatever raiden is gonna do after MGR is much more interesting then saving sunny

[sp]Meryl is canon, yes, and it's definitely worth watching that one. Scrub, can't even handle a little circle pushing.[/sp]
MGS3 is generally considered the best one, so I dunno where you got that (unless I'm wrong), but MGS2 definitely has one of the better stories.
With how hi-tech MGS is, I'm surprised there haven't been any space missions or mentions of space stations
There's the Extraterrestrial Environment Special Forces which were developed for extraterrestial warfare, considering Kyle Schneider, a former member, is called Black Ninja, Platinum games could flesh out some of his story with some epic flashbacks of fighting rogue russians in space or something like :v:

Yeah, sorry about that, I meant story-wise not gameplay wise. People are constantly going on about how mindblowing the end of MGS2 is supposed to be, so I'm hoping that it'll live up to the praise that people give it. So far every other MGS game I've played has, so I'm not too worried. Also, [sp]I was like 2 seconds away from finishing the interrogation but didn't have enough health so I had to submit ;_; Broing it out with Otacon was worth it though, that should have been the canon ending :v [/sp]
-snip-
That battle with The End was intense.

Otacon ending is totally better.
also it's not that mind-blowing tbh but it's pretty cool
I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times, but how the hell do I defeat Sam? I can't parry for shit (I also have no idea how to and online guides suck for console games).
You have to know how to parry.
I don't know if this works but if you feel like having the boss fight take several hours, you can ninja run around him while slashing him

To parry you just have to press the left stick toward them and press light attack at the same time. Also make sure you use the offensive defensive dodge move a lot.
MGRR2 should be Raiden and Bladewolf going from small town to small town doing good deeds and solving local mysteries
I'd kill to hear "Jack the Ripper" Raiden say jinkies

I figured it would be Metal Gear related because of demons.
I'm gonna throw a shit-fit if MGR2 has pre-rendered cutscenes.
Pre-rendered cutscenes in any game with unlockable costumes rustle my OCD like you'd never believe.
I remember it bothered me so much in Assassins' Creed III that Connor's colours would always revert to boring old red white and blue in cutscenes
Dammit, I wanted white and red CANADIAN robes.
Prerendered cut scenes are bad for many more reasons than costumes.
Like 10 years from now the cut scenes will be the same resolution rather than the resolution the game will be able to run at.
They also bloat the game size.

If MGR2 is run in the Fox Engine, there will no doubt be non-prerendered cutscenes- one of the big selling points is how much Big Boss will look as you left him, and I no doubt think this'll apply to them all.

I know this refers to his suit, but I wonder as well if there's some kind of feature like Sleeping Dogs had where he'll be covered in bruises and blood after a rough mission

See, while I totally agree with that, there occasionally comes the time in games like MGS4 where I put on the FaceCamo mask for one section and then unwittingly walk into a cutscene. Like, I don't want that shitty mask on, I wanna see Snake's face. And THEN it sometimes switching to him not having it on, which also irks me slightly. There's no winning.
