That was a stressful last mission (being a terrible shot, especially with the nonlethal pistol), but it was so satisfying to hear Kojima go "That was perfect." Now to wait impatiently for Phantom Pain!
I wonder if TPP will have a completion ratio meter too. Probably not.

I doubt it, though I'm hoping that there won't be any missions not available "postgame." Thus, when you beat the game, you'll still be able to do all the filler missions and maybe get a reward out of it (at the very least an achievement).

Considering Peace Walker let you replay the missions whenever you wanted, I imagine TPP will do the same? How will story choices work though (optional nuke on Mother Base)?
Reposting: anyone with model swapping experience wanna help me out? Trying to find the MSF soldier file.

Check out the Ground Zeroes model ripping thread, they might be able to help you out.

I can't make many promises, but this can help streamline some model swaps for you unless you're looking to actually alter the models and such.
I think that's referring to the Jamais vu mission, where the snatchers are Aliens and the humans under mind control are Zombies.
Imagine if the Snatchers returned in TPP, potentially trying to take over your Mother Base or such. :v:
Don't know if anyone posted this, but the skipping dialogue quip was perfect:
In MGR if you're S ranking every mission and if you miss a battle, can you go back and S rank the fights you missed and exit the mission / finish the level no matter what the rest of the ranks are or do you have to finish the rest of the level S ranking every other fight as well?
Trying to get the stormbringer achievement at the moment.
It was a long time since I played MGR. I never attempted it myself but researched it and if I remember correctly you need to finish the whole level with every fight and all with an S. I think a guide actually suggested to make a backup of your save everytime you managed an S, pretty crazy.

I was looking to swap the Marines with the MSF guys so I don't think that's gonna help. Thanks anyway, though!
Pretty old, but it still makes me laugh

So just to recap some events between mgs3 and TPP:
[sp]After Operation Snake Eater, Snake goes to random places around the world and eventually ends up in the San Hieronymo Takeover. The year is 1970.[/sp]
[sp]After the events of San Hieronymo, he is asked to join the Patriots, who are Ocelot, Eva, Sigint, Zero, Dr. Clark. The date is (most likely) late 1970[/sp]
[sp]After some time with the Patriots, Big Boss gets fed up with Zero's shit and ends up leaving the Patriots after he finds out about the Les Enfants Terribles project that Zero has Dr. Clark working on. The year is early-to-mid 1971.[/sp]
[sp]After Snake leaves the Patriots, he runs into Kaz and they work together to start creating MSF. Year is 1972. That means at this point in time, Liquid and Solid Snake are born, but this information is kept top secret by Zero/Cipher.[/sp]
[sp]Snake and Kaz spend the next two years building up MSF to the point of where you see them at the beginning of Peace Walker, with the small run-down shack on the beach and an army of around (im guessing) 100 soldiers. Still fairly small. The year is 1974, so the kids are about 2 years old now and still kept a major secret.[/sp]
[sp]At some point (the end?) during the Peace Walker incident, Kaz makes a phone call to Zero, and in this phone call is when he learns about the 2 sons that have been born. Obviously he doesn't tell Snake about it or it will blow his cover about having direct contact with Zero. (I feel that this is a pretty majorly overlooked detail in Kaz as a character. It's extremely fishy.)[/sp]
My point is [sp]in MGSV, Snake still has no idea about the success of the Les Enfants Terribles project. He doesn't know about the fruits of Dr. Clark and Eva's work. If Eli is liquid, and we've seen Big Boss and Eli having a duel in one of the trailers, then that will be a pretty big deal in TPP. It seems confusing that Snake would leave the Patriots over the Les Enfants Terribles project, but somehow not know about Solid or Liquid. But if the timeline works in the way I've just explained, then it is very plausible.[/sp]
Every time i click Play for Ground Zeroes on Steam, nothing happens. My avatar gets the green "In game" border for a second but thats it. Any help?
Eli is 99% confirmed to be Liquid. A youth who curses his fate pretty much gave it away

With a nine-year-break between GZ, which takes place shortly after PW, and TPP, along with [sp]the accelerated aging of the clones[/sp] it's plausible and everyone thinks it's the case. Also wouldn't you be pissed if someone [sp]tried to clone you without your consent because your best friend thinks the world needs to idolize a figure like yourself? That was part of Zero's plan all along, encapsulate a legacy such as that of Big Boss so the world always has a 'hero' like him to look up to, especially on the battlefield.[/sp]
I always had the impression MSF had a dozen or two men tops before expanding into Mother Base. Their office was a leaky cabin and I doubt they had much room beyond it, I wouldn't be surprised if the men on the beach were the whole squad.

The accelerated ageing didn't kick in until adulthood did it? It was a mystery to Solid Snake until he was late 30s to early 40s, and Eli looks about 12 in TPP so it would make sense.
Right, all the clones age normally until about their mid 30's.

Except Solidus.
Solidus is the confusing one.

They basically took a look at Snake and Liquid, said "let's do better," then altered the formula to make him able to bepresident as soon as they could. That's my headcanon at least, I dunno how legitimate it can be.
Solidus aged quickly because he was president, just like what happened to Obama, Bush, Clinton, Lincoln, everyone
peacewalkers weird as fuck but I'm lovin it

it's a stressful job man!
the guy that sells the awesome metal gear patches on etsy is now selling the XOF and FOX patches

Also 10% off with the code METALGEAR10
solidus was further modified to age faster as the patriots needed a figurehead to be in office as soon as possible, and who better than a perfect clone of the perfect soldier?
wasnt snakes aging due to regular werner syndrome? i think otacon says that but im probably forgetting something.
wasnt snakes aging due to regular werner syndrome? i think otacon says that but im probably forgetting something.
No, he thought it was, but it was accelerated aging because of clone.

I think I got the gist of it.
So someone's trying to parade this video around and about as an 'alternate ending' if you wait too long to extract Paz (she explodes in the chopper). Supposedly this comes from Reddit. But Chico calling for Snake is from the post-mission cutscene, the chopper itself teleported back over the base, and Snake suddenly has the rocket launcher on his back when the explosion occurs. :v:
Ground Zeroes PC version CQC questions for you:
How do I let go of a hostage? I would assume stop holding grab, but that doesn't seem to do it.
How do I throw a hostage forwards? Not to knock them out on the ground, but to hit people in front of me.

Oh man. I bought a few patches before, should've waited until these were available!
The ones I have though are really high quality I recommend them wholeheartedly

I don't think you can throw them forward, and I am not sure about letting go either. IIRC, PW's CQC was ment to be a very quick onebutton thing
