You guys are still arguing over who the villain is? No one is. There is no black and white "good guys and bad guys" in Metal Gear. Sure in Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 there were bad guys, but that was the 80s and most of those games have been/are being retconned.
Liquid was a bad guy because he wanted to turn Shadow Moses into his Outer Haven, but he was doing that in order to expose The Patriots.
Solidus was the bad guy because he orchestrated the 'terrorist attack' on the Big Shell and stole Arsenal Gear, but he did that in an attempt to free America from the control of the Patriots.
Ocelot was a bad guy because he ran the worlds largest PMC and tried to take over the System, but the only way to defeat the Patriots and shut the system down was to take control of it from the inside.
Snake is a good guy who stops metal gears, except he's also a terrorist who has involved himself in multiple armed conflicts around the world and had a hand in weapon trafficking.
Big Boss is an American hero and legendary soldier, who has children in his army and illegal nuclear weapons on his off shore base. Before MGSV was even a thing.
The only completely bad guy since MGS1 is Volgin, and he's more of a reprehensible person than a cartoon villain. Even fucking Psycho Mantis got a redemption scene in his death. It's also pretty funny that people keep talking about BB turning into the bad guy in The Phantom Pain when he already has a child soldier, nuclear weapons, a metal gear, and a base (that looks suspiciously like Big Shell).
volgin is seriously entertaining and was needed to make the player oblivious to the incoming sadness after killing him
Yes, that's one of my favorite things about the MG series as a whole, and it's something not much talked about. Like real life, people and character's actions are motivated either by just causes or not, and pretty much every time, it puts them in a place of ambiguity for their place in good or evil. Even the Patriots (to a degree) where created to secretly bring order to the world by taking the reigns from behind the curtains.
pretty sure Zero is a fairly bad guy, controlling the world and all cause of your homolust for an old friend of yours is p. bad
When has Zero even done anything bad? Sure he put America (maybe the world) under tight control, but it kept peace for quite a while. Once the AIs took charge, THEN it went down the shitter, but Zero was pretty much a vegetable by then.
Compare that to Big Boss, who trained child soldiers, hijacked nukes, and kidnapped scientists because he wanted to plunge the world into a never-ending cycle of war.
Liquid knew about the Patriots before the shadow Moses incident and it's the reason he wanted to possess ocelot so bad. he even contacted Ames when snake was unconcious on Rex and Ames basically told him to fuck off for being a whiny asshole
This was in the mgs2 backstory thing btw

Glasses with a blonde man, must be Kaz
Sokolov dies while the camera's blacked over from a bag on Snake's head, which Portable Ops used to excuse him as having taken a fake death pill to barely survive. And EVA.. let's just say she has proctitis in her medical records while you're escorting her.
Nah, Sokolov is alive

Sunglasses with a blond man with a semi-pompadour.
It definitely looks like him.

I ran topless snake + america facepaint in MGS3 through the entire game
Just bought Metal Gear 2 :Snakes Revenge.
Just for those who don't know,
From wikipedia.
"However, Hideo Kojima, the game designer of the original Metal Gear, was unaware of Snake's Revenge, and decided to develop his own sequel for the MSX2 computer after being informed of the game's creation. The resulting game, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, which was released exclusively in Japan only a few months later, is recognized as the official sequel"

my fave is going full doc croc
45% completion on Ground Zeroes, definitely want to 100% it before the release of TPP.
I just got Ground Zeroes the other night, I'm gonna try to 100% it too. I actually really enjoyed listening through [sp]Paz's diaries from Mother Base, it actually made me feel a lot worse about Mother Base getting fucked up[/sp].
I'm too reliant on my anesthetic pistol though. It took me 40 minutes to get a B on the mission to destroy the Anti-Air Emplacements. On my fourth try. :(

Personally I find it piss easy to S rank the AA mission by doing what's going on in this video.

Or get the rocket launcher by beating it on B or higher first and then just sniping 3 turrets from spawn.
