the Pain gets all the attention because he shoots bees but the Fury is the shit, flying around
he also just sort of comes out of left field like "WAIT SNAKE YOU HAVEN'T HAD A BOSS FIGHT IN A WHILE LEMME FIX THAT"
The Fury was also really the only legitimately cool member of the Cobra Unit (aside from The Boss, of course).

So I guess it might hint that enemy soldiers have emotional points like they did in MGS4.
CQC grabbing them with that on makes them rage.

like he's the best at stealth, CQC, he can form armies by snapping his hands and anyone who meets him instantly wants to eat his snake

1st time by rockets.
2nd time by makeshift flamethrower.

It's only Mary Sue-ish in summary. He gets the utter shit beat out of him and loses functionality in an eye, most of his actions along with the armies he forms are heavily manipulated by third parties as well as filled with spies whether he's aware of it or not (usually not), and ultimately his charisma, determination and combat/sneaking capabilities are his primary traits that make him persevere against the odds. Hell, the only people he truly loved where The Boss and EVA, he basically loses his sex drive in due time, had little interest until pushed onto it by someone he found himself caring for (who partially betrayed him anyway), and had no way of even carrying on his legacy properly due to being at the Bikini Atoll nuclear tests.
The only values that make him rise above others are those as a soldier, thus he is the ultimate soldier that forms the basis that Solid Snake unwittingly finds himself having to both live up to and fight against. Big Boss, dare I say, isn't even much of a competent leader on his own considering even with Kaz on-board the MSF were pretty reckless and laid back rather than any sort of formalities or anything. At least, not until he wises up for Outer Heaven proper to a degree.

Infact, if you see MGS3 as a Bond homage/parody to any sort of degree, Snake's basically the anti-Bond besides getting the job damn well done.

I'm not saying so much sexuality as I am saying that he has no need, no urge nor any care for sex besides maybe solace or relief, two things he probably cared little for once he became the equivalent of a PMC warlord. He even says himself in Metal Gear 2 that he only cares for money as a necessity to fund more war, sex and wealth become nonexistent to him.

That's one of the reasons I really loved the conversation with Para-Medic and Zero about the Bond series in MGS3. "Oh, I get it. You're worried about how to handle the ladies, aren't you?"
I don't think he loved the boss or eva romantically at all
I think EVA the dude was just totally traumatized by the world and needed some humping to make the pain go away
and the Boss was more his mother than anything else
I think unlike Solid who definitely can have romantic inclinations towards people Big Boss is just kind of a cold soulless miserable man who can't form connections with people
