Actually, if your PC can handle PS2 emulation, emulate 2. The PC port is shit.

I'm really excited for Phantom Pain but I have a PC so I can only play Rising.[/QUOTE] there's always a trick if you only have a PC, you can emulate the games if you want the story (which you should, since just reading it up is not the same thing) you can emulate all the games from 1 to 3 + peace walker (and portable ops but it's not needed), you're just on your own for MGS 4 and to pliskin, emulating 1 and 2 was probably the better choice except for 1 and 2 problems here and there

It's basically a localized version of Integral, so in a couple ways it's superior to the PS1 version (moving and aiming in first person). As for 2, I think the PC port had a small modding community. The PC versions have their ups and downs.

welp im retarded this whole time i thought there was an issue with the integral memory card but i didnt realize i had it set to ps2 save. now i can play mgs :D

I'd say ol' Frankie's gonna appear in TPP with almost 100% certainty. Kojima is aware he's a hugely popular darkhorse (As well as Liquid, who seems to be appearing in this) and as well, the timeline lines up with when Jaeger and Big Boss should be bro-ing down, especially since they meet in Africa. I'd also wager since this is Kojima's last MGS he's pulling all stops, like MGS4 where he made his best effort to bring everyone back. I wouldn't even be surprised if Wolf and Raven show up to round out FOXHOUND if Mantis, Ocelot and Young Liquid are all in it.

And kojima has already said it isn't another 4 where they just try to cram everything in.
