Everything links together and you aren't going to end up with a heavily loose narrative. It's a case of approaching the tasks the way you want but it will all lead into a larger linear story. So saving Kaz is a critical mission, gathering intel on X base or X character will be free form but then finally tackling X character/base will again be a critical segment that cant be avoided.

I still hope there is quite a bit of actual story, I don't see why there wouldn't be. Just means there has to be more missions! My guess its like spekter said above. A bit like most open world games today. Think of Shadow of Mordor or Batman or dare I say The Elder Scrolls. Lots of side stuff to do but most likely there will be missions that you have to do to progress the main story.

A bunch of loose missions that all have story moments in them, but still progress a story in a non linear way. Don't be surprised if this is how ti goes off. So what do we think the surprise is for tomorrow? Trailer? Action figures and shirts? Sins of the Father?

I'm guessing a trailer. All they did was leak the interview / release date video. At least I'm hoping for a trailer. All the ones for V so far have been amazing.

I think Nuclear may be one of the greatest trailers for a video game ever made. I've easily watched it 50 times.

So I went to gamestop today to pick up an Amiibo and I decided to ask out of curiostiy if they happned to have the legacy addition. They checked and said they sold their only copy yesterday, of course I was a little bummed out until they checked and another gamestop down the road had one copy left, of course I zoomed over there and picked it up. Can't believe how lucky I was to get it, now to finally enjoy the series in all it's glory!

been playing snake eater 3ds now that i found an xl and bOOOOOYYY im finding it really hard to control snake. i like crouch walking but i dont even find it useful in most situations. i tried really hard to hold people up without auto aim and it just never worked out. this made the end super shitty to fight. i enjoy the fancy shading on the models but other than that im more than ok never playing this version again. edit: oh and what the fuck is up with SOMETIMES forcing me to press up against a ledge with the stick and then pressing up on the d pad BELOW THE STICK to climb the ledge? and it's not all the time. do i need to grow another left hand? fuck
