Really not into the art direction. I feel the characters in cubeworld are much more endearing and the black outlines all over the place look, I dunno'... off? It looks and feels like a cheap instagram filter and I'm not sure it's suited to a voxel based game anyway. Maybe it'll look nicer a little along the line, but I'll probably stick with Cubeworld for the time being though. That said, a little competition is always nice.

It says on the reddit they are only inviting 10-20 people to alpha on the first wave. Soo goodluck.

as someone who's only played minecraft out of all these voxel based games, all this confuses me i thought minecraft was still the big thing, then saw everyone going apeshit over how good cube world was gonna be and now i was thinking cube world was everyone's favorite game, but apparently people are more excited for this too

I mean I guess you could call this a clone of Cube World, or Vox, but it's far from a Minecraft clone, comparing this to Minecraft is like comparing 2 completely unrelated FPS games just because they have guns and a brown filter.

latest patch added lots of cool stuff, including cornerstones, pets, and mounts

I don't like the shading. It looks....off or something. Other than that, it could be interesting.

I'm surprised there's not more activity on here for this. Or in general. It's like Cube World but with actual content. Updated weekly no less.

The devs and other random people also constantly have giveaways on the Trove subreddit. That's probably what makes up more than half of the posts on there.
