This is due to the lack of LOD. We've yet to build it. [editline]18th March 2012[/editline] Fuck yes.
Yep. And if you don't get these weird bugs fixed, this may be your last shot at stardom. I know from prior experience in TES modding that fans do remember names... And no matter how great your future mods, nobody's going to download them if you've royally screwed up in the past. But nice work. You're the best. For now. [editline]18th March 2012[/editline]
Made a one handed blacksmith hammer for the engineers workshop. Ill do thongs and drill tomorrow. http://filesmelt.com/dl/HHHH.dds http://filesmelt.com/dl/BlacksmithHammer.nif Files are untextured btw, the picture was just a practice one.
Was that a Freudian slip, or did you mean to say Tongs?

Out of thousands who downloaded it.

Then these might be end-user errors, in which case it's clearly out of your control. If it's working fine for 90% of the users, then it's good enough.
I wanna see some pics of the progress I keep missing the live streams
I would like to put forward an idea... If Luft's such a big city, there's got to be a way for news to spread. I suggest a newspaper salesman that acts as a sort of quest board. We can have a few simple fetch quests set up, and you can buy one paper per week that triggers one of these quests. Doing errands for people, solving some small mystery... The more content we can have, the better, and things like these, no matter how menial, can quickly add life to an otherwise lifeless city. Just a thought.
This. And make this news post area be a radiant story giver too. (like innkeepers or those Jarl assistants that generate quests for you)
Also streamed it all
You should post the link to it so we can watch it.
I might continue the engineer's workshop later today.
So I was talking to my my brother today about this project. And then he proceeded to tell me his idea on a way to start a quest. And I thought it was brilliant. Bear in mind that I have no experience in writing so this won't be a compelling story or anything, I'm just explaining his idea. (which he said we could use) So the idea is that there are maybe some kids in the city playing around and pretending to be the dragonborn and having the dovahkiin to be their "idol" or role-model, basically they are very fond of the dragon born. You walk up to them and tell them that you are the dragon born. They ask you to fus-roh-dah and they get impressed and excited of course. Then they lead you to their "secret place". (This idea came from my brother because he had a secret place of his own when he was a kid where he collected junk) And there the player will discover a very rare/unique/eye catching item that the kids thought was just junk and we could somehow connect said item to the main storyline of Luftahraan. I don't know if you guys like of course but I think it both makes for a very compelling start to a quest and I think it makes the player feel proud to be the dragon born (which is something bethesda failed at doing). And games are the only entertainment medium that can offer a sense of Pride. And if we want it to be a part of the main quest we can maybe have the kids run up to the player and ask "Are you the dragonborn?" or something along those lines.
Maybe something to allow playing hide and seek too, with those kids, after you did so. Just like the kids playing tag, although that was just boring and all the kids look alike so it was a bit hard to tell which child was chasing you. Also, it was waay too easy. Is this possible? Agree/disagree.

It reminds me of Major's Mask, with the bomber's gang kids in town. Maybe there should be a longer trial to get into their secret hide-out though. The Dragon Born isn't the only person that can use shouts, he's just the only one that can learn them from a dragon soul. So maybe after you use your shout the kids will then give you a trial, such as playing hide-and-go-seek. After you catch all of the kids you'll be allowed into their secret hide-out.
I want to make this guy:
Pavo Abor - (Imperial, mohawk, beard, crappy pants and can't afford a shirt) a sailor who's trying to escape his past
And I want to use the cell LuftahraanBoatshack as his home. To whoever made this: Can I use your boatshack to house Pavo ?
Feel free to. You should also decorate it's boring and empty landscape.
What are the thought of eventual release? Workshop or private?
Both
Maybe have the kids play outside the main gate to the city so you're more likely to run into them?
that would be pretty out of place with such a dangerous world. Maybe... If it HAS to be outside town. Have it be in a Barn near a farm or something. It could be their "quiet place"

It might give the player the feeling that the town is perpetually like that.
Hey guys, Im back. Need any interiors, navmeshes, or any other simple mindless work done?
Kids often likes to go the forst and they doesn't care their parents' warnings.
DONE EDITING -Created interior for a random house (cell name LUFTHouse) -Created Pavo (a poor sailor character that I took from Zeldar's character list) -Decorated the exterior around the boatshack area and moved Pavo into the boatshack I didn't have enough time to make Pavo's daily routine thing. So I'll do that next if nobody else does it. File: http://www.mediafire.com/?kbykq9lb4ry56ap
It could make the town feel even more dangerous that even the children have gotten used to it. I'll take small break from math and Edit.
So I want to continue making video tutorials. What should I make next ? (regarding creation kit)
If we're going to make it a Parallel to Facepunch, we're going to need Trolls in guard-costumes or whatever.
That gave me the mental image of Tolkein-esque trolls guarding the mines you guys have been talking about now. That'd be kinda cool, to drop into this antichamber with trolls set at scale 3-5.0 and a few bits of textured armor on them (I don't have CK so I haven't a clue as to how hard that would be though).
Done! http://leet.cc/8Luftahraan.zip +Detailed the rest of the coast between boatshack and farms. +Done 2 top floors of the dwemer tower (Still needs items)
Where did the new contributors go again?
Do any caravans come to the city yet? If not I think it would be cool if a Breton caravan arrived instead of Khajiit, since the city is right next to High Rock.
Not any yet.
My family owns a Bakery. And this is our newest product:
