That hammerfell/redguard armor is very pirate-ish.
That with maybe some leather gloves or boots mixed in. Give it a little variety.

okay I've tried to import the cutlass again and at least I got the model.
the issue however is that somehow it only shows the normalmap as texture on the old sword's UVmap :/
I have no experience with armor modelling so I probably won't be able to do it :(
well maybe I could do the coat itself, but I wouldn't be able to connect everything to the bones and stuff.

I think we should make sure we have a large portion of our sidequests be radiant quests. There aren't enough of them in skyrim, and if we utilize as many of the reference types within a radiant story enabled dungeon as we can I think we can create pretty decent radiant quests.
Also this will send the player to other places around skyrim and not be cooped up in luftahraan all the time.
Also they are easy to make.
(Oh and no edit/stream for me today, I'm exhausted.)
if someone could make some proper concept art for a pirate coat (preferably front and side) I could give it a try.

The only solution is to edit the objects in the CK to force full LOD but that will induce horrible crashes, considering the sheer amount of objects.
All we can do right now is wait.
Exterior areas are nearly finished, after them, we may build the LOD.
No-one editing?

There is a setting, I don't know if it's per-object or if it's something general.
Can someone point me in the right direction? If people are editing exteriors then surely they must have altered these settings?

okay I've tried importing the cutlass about 5 times now and it stiill doesn't want to work :(
could someone if I gave him the OBJ instead of the NIF import it? because I'm not getting much luck

Skyrim doesn't like the .xcf file for the diffuse map. Could you turn it into a .dds? The CK was just displaying the normal map because it couldn't use the xcf file. You said something like that was happening to you.
Make it a dds file and try to get it ingame again.
i found a fix for my earlier problem, if you hit F5 the render window refreshes and all the objects load in fine :)
going to edit in a bit, gonna have a shower first

ah... sorry for that the icons are very simmilar :P
also I tested it again with the diffuse as .dds and that was when it had the normalmap as normal texture

You should say "[B]Editing[/B]" when you edit.
Unless your shower is more then 1hour long.
Oh and refreshing window is sitll not a solution to the problem. We thought you were taking a ss from in-game.
That is something you can't just refresh.
