https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WS0EMbB0q9s5ZJ9Ykg5Er2NPOLNaSqvKYEqe5ExJguU/edit
I'm getting my microphone home today I'll start working on some random voice acting of what I can do, I'll happily help out doing somebody's voice then. You should start writing the dialogue and characters that are needed to be made. [editline]5th April 2012[/editline]
Woops, wrong link, there you go!
Oh!
Heading to work now, be back in around 10 hours, then I'll do some recording.
Done Editing -Did more work on the sunken ship dungeon -Did all the essential navmesh in the undercity (no navmesh underwater and on rocks and such. Just navmesh so that npc's can get around) File: http://filesmelt.com/dl/luftahraan6.rar
Wrote a minor feature to Osmo. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtiY-c8QASg7dEJXdm16dGdYSGhuUXRfZ051d3JYUkE Also there's link to that main doc in the OP, just after the plan pictures.

Fixed. [editline]5th April 2012[/editline] Editing Not going to do anything big/important. So, Wheeze, if you'll want to continue, tell me in steam.
Hey everyone, I've been following Wheeze's stream for a good while now and I'm hoping to be able to offer some ideas and such for Luftahraan. I'm not very skilled with CK, so I won't be wanting to do editing, but I do feel like I am creative and I tend notice the little things that sometimes get skipped over. I would consider myself decent at story designing and I enjoy suggesting new parts to existing ideas. One of the biggest hindrances that I'm having right now is that I just don't know the progress and status of everything. I checked out the main doc (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtiY-c8QASg7dEJXdm16dGdYSGhuUXRfZ051d3JYUkE#gid=0) but I find it a little difficult to follow. So could anyone give me a rundown of the current state of affairs? What is everyone focusing on? Who is making the decisions? What's the best way to submit ideas? and foremost, what can I do to help? Thanks in advance! PS-Facepunch makes me sad because names can only be 14 characters so my name is now Foo, not Fool. :(

Since it can be tiresome if the voice actors do all the voices then people aren't happy with the dialogue. I've read through it. But I'll have to read through it again before I can give my opinion.

Hey guys, been creepin this thread for a bit, looks really cool, awesome idea, is there a link for the download I can nick if poss?? Really want to try this out. If I do play it, will it be massively buggy, because that wouldn't be much fun. Cheers.

It's quite chaotic. But right now I think majority of the focus is on the pirate island. I recommend you download the latest file, check out what we've done so far so you get a general idea on what everything looks like, read through the google document and check out this thread. I think then you will get a general idea on how things are right now but, again, it's hard to keep this perfectly planned out and organized since this project has become quite big. Well not really since there literally is no content yet. We are still creating the city, the interiors, the coastlines, the dungeons etc.
I've been tempted to tinker around with a pirate mod. One problem though, is that Skyrim is set roughly in the 1400s and the Golden Age of Piracy didn't start until the end of the 1400s with the Elizabethan era, which Skyrim is not set in. I was thinking a scene with Edward Teach (BlackBeard) would be nifty, but he's from the 1500s, not the 1400s. I was also considering something with Vander Decken (Flying Dutchman), but again, he originates from the 1800s. I figured the mod would be something like "You better steer clear of (area), a famous band of pirates has moored there, they say they've sank over 100 ships and that their ship has uncountable treasures on it. You know... they say they came here to get supplies before going on a long voyage using a treasure map they found. Get me that treasure map, and I'll make it worth your while" You proceed to sneak on the docked ship and hide in a storage area, however your timing is bollocks and they end up sailing with you on the boat. You then have to escape from the storage area, fight your way through the enemies, and take control of the ship. On your way back, you are stopped by the navy and you can choose a few different dialogue options, with a high enough speech meaning you can talk your way out of a confrontation. The navy explained they are retrieving the stolen treasures, which you can choose to keep for yourself (And talk your way out of the navy, or be boarded and fight them) or you can give them the treasure. Revealing you have a treasure map will net you a reward, or you can return it to the quest giver. The only problem with this would be working out the movement of the ships, but it'd be such a fun quest-line, you could possibly even fire cannons at the navy ship!
Even oblivion had pirates.
Even oblivion had pirates.
Pirates have existed since the 9th century, I was just hoping that a famous pirate could realistically be snuck into Skyrim, but sadly not without moving the years around a little bit.

I mean hell look at CHIM. Are you saying that Skyrim takes place in the Middle Ages of Europe?

How can skyrim be set in real world time ? The dragon crisis in skyrim begins in 201 in the fourth era. Oh and that history behind the pirates guild has never been decided. It's just an idea. People keep basing their ideas on things that have never been decided.
What ? How can skyrim be set in real world time ? The dragon crisis in skyrim begins in 201 in the fourth era.
Skyrim isn't set in actual year times. Oblivion is supposedly set during the 1200s, logic-wise, so Skyrim would logically be in the 1400s. Technology wise, Skyrim is about 100 years before Piracy became really big. Maybe 200. I suppose it's a sort of "counting for inflation" sort of thing. The game states it sets place in around 253 4th Era, or something akin to that, but scene and technology wise, around the 1300s to maybe 1400s.

The world of Nirn follows its own sets of laws and rules defined by Lorkhan. Also if you look at the map Tamriel does not equal Eurasia.
Their tech is advancing so much slower than ours did. [editline]5th April 2012[/editline] So their 200 years won't have same technological progress as our. [editline]5th April 2012[/editline] Done http://leet.cc/Luftahasd.zip +Worked with the mine.

I enjoy writing and am a grammar freak, so I could help with proofreading everything. I don't mind taking time to make sure things are easy to understand as I know how difficult trying to decipher a convoluted mess can be. However you feel I can help with this, just let me know and I'll get to work on it. EDIT: Some ideas of documents that I could make are: A list of contributors and what they are currently doing. For example, if someone wanted a voice-actor they would know who to go to directly. A comprehensive update log. As long as people post in-depth or at least semi-specific details of their additions and changes, I could keep that in a separate page for when we need to look back on something. A list devoted to explaining what has been done, needs to be done, and is currently being worked on and the progress in each. This would probably be the most useful, as it would help for new people coming in and make it easier on the "veterans".
I have one question. A little off topic from what you guys are talking about right now, but anyway. If we create a steam group (or community or whatever the name was) can we make our own forum? With our own sub forums? Because then we would be able to create one for design, one for story and so on. I think that would be better.
