Yeah that voice acting is absolutely brilliant.
It's just that some of the lines had to be modified in-game in order to match your voice acting and yeah like mentioned before it's "mercenaries" and not pirates.
I think it's best if you wait for me to finish making the quest in-game and then I post the finished and decided dialogue.
That's great!
Well I'm willing to help, but you seem to be doing great on your own.
Ah yes that's a good voice over mic. (As I can hear from your samples.) The noise problem I can help with!
Edit:
I've been working on something... I think this is the way we should write dialogue.

maybe.
We need a clearer way on knowing which is a player dialogue option and which is an actor response.
The round (filled in) is the actor.
Edit:
I will write a fake quest to show how I think they should look.

Something like this:

I think it should just be, "Men, kill him," or "Have at him, lads!" Specifically naming them as what they are when ordering them to do something sounds a little odd.
Ok there, an edited version. I've finished a comprehensive and organized layout of all Luftahraan story ideas, quest ideas, character ideas, maps, images, media, and nearly completed list of credits to all members who contributed any confirmed feature into the community project. I used all 53 pages of this thread, both the reddit posts, and a few other sources. Please enjoy, for you are all welcome to download it.

It was, but I think I forgot to change that. My bad!
Does anyone know what the progress of the steam-group is?
Does anyone know what the progress of the steam-group is?
It's locked and I can't join. :suicide:
Me neither... But I though they were working on inviting people, or opening it up?
i suggest we put that big folder so awesomely put together by vizard into a dropbox, that we all share? That way we can make adjustments and everyone can see them.
Either that or upload it all to a big google docs thing
I still think we should get an open steam-group for everyone on the project. But yes a dropbox is a good idea.
and yeah, why isn't the steam group open

If you'd like to do that, that'd be cool.
Vizard do you wanna setup a Steam Group?
Edit:
I can start it, but I don't know what we should name it. I would like it to have a name so that we can use the group after Luftahraan, so not Luftahraan Mob or something like that-

if i'm to do that i'd need everybody's email addresses
oskutin, what do you think of using dropbox?

I don't know. There's already one, but that one's private. Maybe this one will be open, but the admins will be the main contributers, that way other non-officer members can get updates and stuff in real time?
Ok I create a group name "Luftahraan (Skyrim Mod)" and invite the once who asks.
I think having that group will be very helpful.
As I posted yesterday, I'm designing the idea of a small quest for Pavo Abor. But, I need to know these couple of things:
what is his schedule?
what is his age?
are there any specific characteristics that I need to adhere to with his character? (other than the parts already listed, ie former sailor / escaping past, etc.)
@Wheeze - I think you made his schedule and such, do you remember the basic structure of what he does on a normal day?

We already have a steam group. We don't need another one.

But it was locked, and no one could get in.

Then we wait until I get contact with G-Strogg. It's not a big deal.

It's my opinion, but a few of us think it kind of is, but whatever.
You guys should make a needed asset list so modellers know what to make.
I think it would help us out if on the Luftahraan doc there were a link to a screenshot of each character that has actually been made in game. It's much easier to understand a character based on their appearance, and that shouldn't be too difficult to do. I would imagine it could just be "commented" in on each cell with the characters' names.

This is some of my voice acting, I'm not incredible and I'm not experienced and this was done with people talking and moving about downstairs so there is a little background noise. In any case, is there any actual voice acting needed?
Based on what I've got compiled, I think we need to start building a plan, and in my opinion, we should start by fleshing out all the architecture, then work on all the factions, that way have ways to tie these factions into the main quest and other subsidary quest lines without any conflicts. Then we work on miscellaneous quest lines and fill in the lore.
Still no one editing?

I like the last one! The other one's lack a bit of expression, they are a little lifeless if you get what I'm saying.
But I really like the shopkeeper.

Yes, I agree I made the lines abit bland and flat, I've got to work on that. Thanks for the criticism though!
I'm spending time with the family this weekend so I'm not able to do any VA right now. I could, however, assist with coming up with some decent and natural sounding dialogue for future reference. I'll just need to take a look at some of the quests, get a feel for the NPC's, and whip something up in the googledoc hopefully.
