Zeldar, I drew something for you to cure your writer's block. I call it the epicest quest ever!
Haha, actually my writer's block was cured about a half hour earlier but thanks. I replaced the lighthouse quest with something different.
Your recent activities in the guild have caught the interest of the leader, Klaus. He’ll send one of his lackeys to tell you to speak with him about helping with an important matter. Recently one of the guild’s members was sent to the living quarters of the Luftahraan guards to negotiate with the KGB about the recent problems that have come up. There have always been tensions between the KGB and the Pirates Guild. Despite their Sovereign’s favorable disposition towards the guild, a feeling of mistrust is still held by many of them. But strange happenings have been occurring lately, which Klaus will describe to you in detail. Ships are disappearing, whole crews are sent off at day and are later found murdered. Survivors claim the attackers were well equipped in regards to armor and weapons. Some of the older members of the guild accuse the Empire for being behind this, for they have always been a problem for pirates in Tamriel’s oceans. But all recorded Imperial boardings have always taken place in the day. An assault at night simply isn’t part of their quota, and Klaus suspects that the KGB want to start their own business and have no need of the guild’s profit anymore. He wants you to go to the guardhouse and find out what has happened. When first heading inside the guardhouse, its inhabitants will draw their swords and make rude remarks about the player being the newest member of a terrible guild. One of the higher ranking KGB officers, a long-haired bearded Imperial, will urge them to back down, and will speak with the player. You’ll explain your purpose for visiting, and the Imperial will insist that while a meeting was set up, no one ever arrived. This will initiate an objective where you must go around the city and find out where the missing pirate is. Your search will eventually lead you to the mines, where one of the slaves, a former noble of Whiterun, will want some wine before speaking. He’ll then tell you some of the KGB were there earlier, and they were burying something. Going near the burial site will initiate a sequence where one of the mine guards will tell you to back off. You must go back to the former noble and ask him to start a distraction. He’ll do so by angering both the Dunmer and Nord slaves by bringing up the racial conflicts between them. A huge fight will commence, and all of the guards will rush over to stop it, allowing you to check out what was buried. Lo and behold, the pirate and the two friends who came along are dead. The player will be urged to investigate the body of the main pirate who was sent, and a note can be scavenged detailing what the now deceased guild member found out from another pirate about before heading to the meeting. From the details of the note, this particular pirate did some eavesdropping and drinking before heading to the guardhouse (mostly drinking) and heard some KGB officers conversing about their dislike of the profit being churned out from the guild. Apparently they’re not getting enough gold, and one of the KGB guards, the Imperial who you met earlier, is ransacking guild ships to start an illegal business of his own. This Imperial’s next plan is to hijack an important trading ship that’s arriving soon (after the pirates have attacked it and made it go ashore ofc). The pirate eavesdropper urges him not to go to the meeting, but it’s assumed that they’re both tortured and killed before they can make it out of the city. The player must hurry back to the ship to warn Klaus. When doing so, Klaus will be shocked. Of course, he already suspected this, but the pirate crew assigned to take down the trading ship has already been sent off. He’ll tell Norovir to travel with you to the place where the ship should be beached. When arriving, there will be three ships: the beached trading ship, the pirate ship, and the ship once owned by the guild but now captured and used by the KGB. All of the pirates who were sent off earlier will be dead, and the (more) corrupted KGB guards will battle with you and Norovir. After killing all of the Imperial’s men and causing the Imperial to fall to his knees, he’ll laugh and say how he’ll just lie to Agronak claiming that this was a pirate attack on the KGB, and that they will soon crush the Pirates Guild for good. But unfortunately for him, Agronak comes out of the shadows and explains how he has been watching his activities for quite a while now. He disagrees with his actions and still sees the pirates as a valuable ally, at least for the time being. Agronak will then decapitate the Imperial and thank you and Norovir. One of his lines will express how he doesn’t see what’s so special about the Stormcloak rebellion, since there are easily several happening every minute in Luftahraan. Return to Klaus and receive your reward.
I'm glad I brought up the idea of using a secret police type group (KGB), you guys have come up with some great material.
Somone should start working and writing for the temple.
Somone should start working and writing for the temple.
It seems we are telling everybody to do alot of things. We don't have the man power.
Downloading the ck. I'll finally be able to contribute some shit.
Downloading the ck. I'll finally be able to contribute some shit.
Well make sure you know how to use the creation kit. It's not the most difficult editor out there but you can't just pick it up and be able to make quality content. [editline]10th April 2012[/editline]
it's gonna be quite the feat to finish this in one year
Hm.. We've done all of this within about 1 and a half months. I don't think that it will take ~8x longer to finish this. Well on second thought, quests are an absolute mind boggle. But a year seems still a bit much to me. Of course it's impossible to be accurate here.
Just a silly thought, but I had an idea for very late development stuff, Easter eggs really. You know how there are daedric quests? Well what if all the contributors became like "luftahraan lords" and had their own quest line. So like Wheeze would be like the lord of fury, and complain about the player breaking all the quests, etc. Also, we could make a very small dungeon with all the contributors in game sitting around a table, talking about how shitty creation kit is for quests.
If that would be added, I would prefer just a secret room.
After April 30th (my last final) I'd be down to try writing if you need anymore writers.
If that would be added, I would prefer just a secret room.
Unless everyone included are going to contribute with individual material.
Oh god this.
If you plan on doing it, you should make your own quest for the purpose, including a lot of things which are hard to script. Just to get a bit more in character.
I'll be editing in a bit. [editline]10th April 2012[/editline]
After April 30th (my last final) I'd be down to try writing if you need anymore writers.
We already have quite a bit of writers. So you have to accept the fact that we wont use all of your work. Don't get me wrong, you are welcome to contribute of course and I'm happy you want to, I am just warning you.
Yeah, we could use more contributors than writers atm.

I'm on my break and I thought that would mean I'd get a break from studies. Nope.jpg :v:
I'll begin familiarizing myself with the CK this week, see if I can start being useful somehow. I might just become a clutterer. Do we need one of those?
I've been lurking around for a while now and you guys are making great progress! Someone already mentioned in the thread a wishlist for models that need to be done and I think that is a good idea. I want to contribute, but I can't really commit to any long term projects until next year at least since I'm serving time in a conscript army. I have a capable laptop here though, so I could model some assets on my spare time if there are any needed and a wishlist would be ideal for that.

Should we call the Pirate guild simply "The Luftahraan Pirates" ?
I think we should try to come up with a unique name for them.
Swashbuckling Seamen
Swashbuckling Skeevers
Done Editing -Pirate Guild intro quest is pretty much finished. I can't think of anything that might break the quest or something but yeah it's pretty much 99% finished. <- This by the way is a fucking huge feat for me. You guys wouldn't believe the amount of shit I went through to get this done. File: http://filesmelt.com/dl/luftahraan11.rar
Swashbuckling Skeevers
Scurvy skeevers

So remember this ?
So I was really annoyed by a quest and I decided to kill the quest giver and repeatedly hacked his corpse with my axe out of frustration. So one of my (dedicated) stream viewers decided to cheer me up:
Well that same Dedicated viewer ( Goonzy ) did a quick map to indicate to the player where the Pirate island is. ( I need this for a quest ) Well check this out: And this isn't even when she is really trying. I told her to do it crudely since this is going to be a on a note.
DONE: http://leet.cc/Luft_keep.zip +Added couple of occlusion planes to the marketplace area. +Done a small shack interior to the undercity (It turned out nice ) +Started entry hall of the keep (Still needs detail, feel free to add)
