Yeah it is awesome to communicate while someone is editing and give suggestions.
Would you prefer I just stream tutorials then? That way people can ask questions and stuff, or just me editing and let them learn off of the way I do it?
Would you prefer I just stream tutorials then? Or at least it is more enjoyable for me :) . And you can make it like this : make stream over the project and in some time make a tutorial on how to make somethings (just a suggestion).
Is this like those ms paint war things?
Almost not at all.

I need something to write about for the project. Anyone care to give suggestions? [editline]21st May 2012[/editline] Or maybe I should just focus on detailing those small side quests I thought up of a while back.

Most of the things suggested so far for quests are lore friendly. The only real exception atm might be the one quest I'm working on fleshing out right now, which concerns time travel and magic.
Most of the things suggested so far for quests are lore friendly. The only real exception atm might be the one quest I'm working on fleshing out right now, which concerns time travel and magic.
that's not lore unfriendly, strictly speaking
Ah, what a relief. So it's just a mild acquaintance with lore then? Like neutral?
so i'm in america right now and not been keeping up to date with things here (obviously) so how are things going?
Ah, what a relief. So it's just a mild acquaintance with lore then? Like neutral?
Well it follows the lines of Dragon breaks (AKA when you disrupt the time flow that is Akatosg), so that should be it.
Speaking of lore, I had some concerns regarding the main quest suggestion you put up, Vizard. As I understand some made-up god is supposed to be controlling the towns leader? [editline]23rd May 2012[/editline] Also be careful with dragon breaks, they're confusing and very hard to get right. [editline]23rd May 2012[/editline] You have to consider the fact that dragon breaks were initially introduced as a way to make all 7 endings in daggerfall canon, so that they happened at the same time. So when Morrowind was made, all 7 endings in Daggerfall coalesced and something happened on the way. That's how dragon breaks work, they're not just basic time travel (No matter what Skyrim thinks!).
Done! - Finished the Arena Barracks - Improved the fighting system http://www.mediafire.com/?31ljj6n17nnsklh [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] UPDATE: Once we get a new thread and a map or list of things that need to be done I'll work a 9-5 on Luftahraan and edit for 3+ hours everyday in an attempt to get the project up and running.I know how to do almost everything in the CK,with the exception of Landscaping and Questing but I plan to learn questing this weekend.Once I get a mic I plan to make a CK tutorial series explaining how to do basically everything I know. This tutorial will be perfect for anyone who either wants to learn how to mod or even someone already familiar with the CK but wants to perfect or improve their skills.Hopefully this will help others who might want to help but don't know how or those that are trying to learn but are having trouble.Until then I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread and I don't want to see anymore talk of Luftahraan dying. As long as I'm still alive luftahraan can and will be continued, and if finishing luftahraan is the last thing I ever do I'd die a happy and very accomplished man.
Hey do you got any idea when you'r receiving your mic ?
Maybe I could do a bit of voice acting if anybody needs it still? Never tried it before but I have a deep voice and can do some variations and accents.
I'll add you to the list of potentials, you can post a sample here or mail me it if you want. Beware though we might not ask for your voice until late summer.
Hey do you got any idea when you'r receiving your mic ?
Not yet, I'm going to try to get one by the end of this week
Here I read a part of The Beggar Prince in a voice that could possibly suit the time, of not a little over done.
Didn't your name use to be Thorny?
yep
I think your voice can be quite useful. I like it.
That's one of many. My father and I used to mess around talking like different people when I was a kid, and consequently I learned to control my voice pretty well. Although, I still can't sing. :v:
New ideas have been discussed between me and G-Strogg. I would greatly appreciate your opinions on this so please read: 1. We should get a website. A website would probably benefit us alot. And here are my reasons why: -Having a frontpage of everything Luftahraan will let us organize everything MUCH better. No going through pages of posts just to find some absolutely vital information. -It will attract people from all over the internet to work for this project since the project will seem much more professional and appealing Along with a bunch of minor things that I CBA to be mentioning atm but the two things above are the main reasons. 2. We should form a Luftahraan development team. We need more organization and this is getting too big for us to be chaotically developing the project in an open manner. -If we let anybody download the latest luftahraan file then the release of luftahraan will be very anti-climactic since people will be able to play it before it's finished. -This will most likely improve the general organization of this project. -Being a part of a team gives you much better motivation. If you are officially a "Editor of Luftahraan" then you'll feel that you need to live up to that title and deliver. -This will let other talent out there see that joining our team is an achievable goal and therefore, hopefully, getting more people on this project And then there would be complications: -If we want to form a team and not let people download the file openly then we need a secure way sharing the file. I'd like to mention that we should attempt getting version control working. This is a hidden feature in Creation Kit which allows many people to work on the same .esm file at the same time. Of course this would lead us to having to teach all of our contributors on how to work with version control and then having to convert our mod to .esm -We would need people who can actually create the website. G-Strogg said he has some experience in this field but he says he wants to read up on some subjects like html5 before he does a website. And of course we accept anybody who wants to help out in making a website if he has sufficient experience. And I say this again: I am not saying that these changes and additions are final or anything. This is just what has been discussed and I want opinions and see if we can and/or should apply these things.
The Writers have already done this with a form of hierarchy rank system that allows us to coordinate meetings.
Yeah sure, that would be unaffected. You'll basically stay the same. But the rest of us need this organization.
Okay so I've looked over my quest again. There may be some conflicts with lore, but I'm not completely sure. The story is that during the next era the magical school of alteration reaches such great heights that altering time itself is now possible. One of those wizards at the forefront of development of this new magical skill performs an experiment and gets thrown back in time to the city of Luftahraan. Atm I feel a bit iffy about the whole idea but it's the only one I can properly develop right now. :v:
There's already timetravel in Skyrim. But magic like that will need powerfull energy source (like the hearth of the nirn in Luftahraan mainquest)
As vizard says above, I have a lot of web dev experience and I can help you guys out with a website if you need it. I'd have to have more information about what you want the site to really be, though.
