based on the content of the "holly" heist its more likely it was derived from "hollywood" instead of the xmas stuff, would tie in with the "xeno" gun being part of it if it was movie themed
so overall we should have known it would not have been the xmas one from the start rip

Pretty sure there were some hints that pointed to it being actually the Christmas heist, everyone wouldn't have fallen for it so stupidly. Lolnoob1 could give some better explanations.

I hope the Christmas cloakers make a comeback for this year's heist, though I'll be thoroughly disappointed by the lack of jolly red bulldozers with Santa hats if that isn't a thing this year.

I assumed it used Holly since Holly is normally associated with Xmas and the play on Hollywood would work with the whole thing
but what if "Holly" comes out on the 17th along side the Christmas safe and the Team Boost card drops?
After all they did say this on the steam page:

that is only the stat boost drop update, no matter how small it's still an update.
they named this one "the 3rd xmas heist" so it's 100% the real deal

The folder for Aftershock's assets is named pd2_dlc_holly or something like that, and that takes place in LA.
Considering there was an earthquake I doubt we'll get anything else related to LA/Hollywood and that would mean the entire movie thing got scrapped. rip.

I doubt the movie thing is scrapped, the Xeno gun intended for Holly still has all of its animations present, and there are several "level instances" for Holly already in the files.
The Aftershock folder is pd2_dlc_jolly, but it uses a few Holly assets.

Something is wrong here.
the heist is cool pretty much white xmas on a different map, lots of spawns and can get pretty tricky but enjoyable
theres also a lab rats-esque wave you can trigger by standing around a safe that drops from a helicopter

they updated the b-sides on the soundtrack but not in-game for new menu music? I thought they were synonymous.
So i have played the new heist with a buddy of mine and got about 108 bags of loot. and NO achievement. (Although we did loot the safe challenge loot.)
