So can you not play online with that mod? I kept losing to connection to every host until I found one who was also running the mod. But then I got disconnected when he pulled out his gun...

Attachments that are not part of a gun's standard attachment selection don't sync and leave emptiness in their place to others (and vice versa for you if others use non-standard attachments) . Problems arise when either party uses a non-standard barrel.
When your/their game tries to find the muzzle end (which is determined by the barrel) and finds nothing due to them/you using a non-standard barrel, it crashes your/their game.

I managed to turn an AK-47 into an internally suppressed sub machine gun that can take 12 gauge shells and turn them into 7.62×39mm bullets as soon they enter the chamber. Truly, a beautiful piece of art.

not surprising when to open a safe you gotta pony up $3+ for a drill or wait for the one hundredth in a billion chance that you'll get a drill via card drop
