You used to be able to dominate cops and not use a pager up (as well as joker a cop). Granted, yeah, stealth was all sorts of broken if you played with a full crew, allowing you to take out up to 8 guards.
The extra guard coming in after taking out the fourth guard on some maps was something that was also added in.

I don't know anything about how these games work, but I'd bet that that little slot machine animation they play is utterly meaningless, the drop is decided the moment the key is used, and it's just for show to make you think you were close.

As far as I know that's accurate and that's how they do it in Counter Strike as well.

In CSGO there used to be a way to "reroll" a case, you would always get the same item from the it but the items around it would change. Payday 2 probably has the exact same system.

That's how the system works under all circumstances. Any time you've ever seen a system like that, the reward is predetermined. The rolling, spinning, whatever effect is just for show. Its even more obvious in games that give achievements for it. Its something that happened to people in Vermintide for instance, when they'd go to roll for loot, they'd get the achievement for getting a Legendary drop before having actually even rolled for it.
Don't the end of heist cards work the same way? Hell, in that case the reward's actually added to your inventory as soon as you hit the xp screen, you can leave the lobby then and it'll be sitting in your inventory waiting for you.
Tried out the Locke Heists and I have to say that it's good to see that Overkill finally got their shit together at least in terms of optimization for new heists. Eveything runs perfectly smooth just like it's supposed to.
I HAVE DONE THE LAST MISSION OF FRAMING FRAME 23 TIMES IN A ROW FOR THAT DRILL. I can only find 4/5 things and it is infuriating :blaze:

W-what? That skin with reflective ice blue surface is by far the best looking skin in the game -legendaries included - and the only reason I'd be willing to break my "never buy PD2 cosmetics" promise if Izhma didn't suck.

There are too many times where the skins look like when you accidentally put a shitty pattern on your gun in goonmod. Sometimes it just looks like they pasted an image onto the guns texture and called it a day. I personally believe that if item quality like well worn, field tested etc. exists, than all the skins should at least look nice.
