thats pretty lame, it was a harsh post so it seems pretty clear whichever mod who did the deed was reading it thoroughly to nitpick on any bit they could justify a ban for so rip

Wasn't Overkill staff, rarely do they even moderate their own forum. Just a certain volunteer mod that has it out for a few folks.
I can't get the skin unlocker to work at all for some reason.
I just wanna download it to check out some skins.
Looks like the general gist went over your head guy. Epic Pirate Captain man's been mentioned so many times on the forum in the past and jack hasn't been done about it before, because he's apparently the standard to which to deviate from when it comes to what lua modding is okay, which has nothing to do with piracy. Only reason I was banned for the post was because a moderator's cherry picking reasons to ban certain folks (Mainly those associated with a certain modding community).
The only reason I brought it up was to prove a point: Every brain dead sheep on the forum assumes any lua mod is on the same levels as it.
All of what you're saying is superfluous to the reason why you got banned: you pointedly mentioned Pirate Perfection. You can continue to say to yourself he banned you because of such and such, and lua modding is a black sheep, or whatever... but sometimes you just need to look at the facts.
You mentioned Pirate Perfection > You got banned for piracy. Akin to mentioning WoW private servers on the official WoW forums - idiotic and you'd be lucky to NOT be banned for it.
By that logic, anybody that makes/uses/mentions a gameplay changing mod should be banned for cheating.
By that logic, anybody that makes/uses/mentions a gameplay changing mod should be banned for cheating.
Pirate Perfection is explicitly a mod built around unlocking DLC/launching heists without owning the DLC.
How is this not piracy?
By that logic, anybody that makes/uses/mentions a gameplay changing mod should be banned for cheating.
Overkill was well aware of these types of mods and i am pretty sure claimed to not have a problem with them as long as they don't screw with the experience of other players

Once again guy the whole point is going right over your head, the problem is everyone attributes any lua mod that does ANYTHING to pirate perfection. I can't exactly make a point about the subject without addressing said trainer now can I?
Again, I don't think you understand the gravity of the context and situation outside of one post.

You're right, they are aware of any mod that touches core gameplay changes. No, they aren't a fan. It's why whenever someone posts any mod that does anything in the modding subforum (No matter what it actually does) it gets mass reported to hell and deleted, but not before an army of forum drones shitpost the thread until it's deleted.
Once again it's a problem, Overkill themselves seem okay with mods that do stuff but meanwhile the stance on mods that are okay hasn't changed.

Contrary to it's name, PP isn't explicitly for the DLC Unlocker (which one can get a standalone version of anyways) but for shit like invincibility, super jumps, and in general, cheating (that ironically enough won't flag you in-game for cheating unless you delve into carried bags or deployable equipment).

You mentioned Pirate Perfection > You got banned for piracy. That's... all that really matters, here.
I don't know why you're so upset over losing access to the official forums, regardless. It's well known that the official forum for any game is usually dogshit.
We should probably stop talking about this at this point because we're probably just going to keep going in circles about it.
I kinda miss the days when these forums used to be able to talk like this
It's really sad to see if slow down to a crawl

I always thought that people were just being dramatic saying how 'legit done with this game now guys' they were, but the thread really hasn't been the same since crimefest :frown:
Speaking of the old days, did we ever get an update on Payday: The Date
It being released was the first post I ever saw in these threads
In latest Steam Sale, PAYDAY 2 was sold in 290,200 copies.

At one point my friend was like this as well
But now he wants to wait till we get new things
So if anyone wants to replace my original crew to roll some heists with sometimes, my steam's on the left
The community has changed since crimefest. It really shows when it comes to this thread as well. And I myself haven't been really hyped for anything Payday related really. I dunno I guess it kinda just downed on me that I'm gonna have to pay money everytime a new heist/character comes out while they are sucking even more money with these micros.
As good as the Point Break heists are they are still paid content. And besides is not all that enjoyable anymore without the people that I used to play with. They were what made the game fun for me.
Crimefest unfortunately killed any love that I had for this game
I'm just waiting for new free content; made by the community or Overkill, I don't care.
So Heister's Story Pack 1.0 just got released. Campaigns are made of already existing heists where you pray to the Anti-Crash gods, because if the host crashes it's all fucking dead (every campaign it's a pro job). Good shit.
I'd play Payday 2 again for that combined with that 6 player (I think it's 6) mod.
Wow, that custom heist script is ridiculously easy to handle. I already managed to add my own campaign. And awesomely enough, it's compatible with Time of Day.

Only problem is, I can't get pre-planning to work. Which has the side effect of not spawning any thermal drills on Bank Heist.

What's the point of that screenshot?

It's using Time of Day, so the sky and lighting is different. The sun is setting down but I now realize it's not that obvious.

Except that isn't piracy, If I mentioned torrents, would that be piracy? Or Kat.cr?
It's pretty obvious the steam forum mods are directly censoring anything negative about Overkill, considering the verbal shitstorm that hit reddit two months back.

Pirate perfection include cheating and DLC/skin piracy features. Ban still suck tho.

My bad. Thought it had something to do with it being a "custom" heist.
My bad. Thought it had something to do with it being a "custom" heist.
Yeah, it is part of my custom campaign. The options are limited so far though; I can set the campaign's offshore cost, description, day names, the max amount of bags that can be secured during each day, things like that. But not much more. For now.
Question about modding: is possible to create akimbo guns? Like create akimbo sets for guns that are in -game already, like Micro Uzi and such? Or there is a mod that does that already? I'm lost on PD2 modding now
Question about modding: is possible to create akimbo guns? Like create akimbo sets for guns that are in -game already, like Micro Uzi and such? Or there is a mod that does that already? I'm lost on PD2 modding now
Sorta, there have been guys in the modding community that have changed the weapon base of certain weapons to act like akimbo weapons. For the most part it works out, but due to limitations of modding we can't exactly ADD new weapons all too well, simply weapon replacements. So you end up with just an akimbo variant of the gun.
Oh, and then there's the big problem of a lack of animations for the weapon now being akimbo and no way to actually edit animations.

I've seen hackers running around with full-auto explosive-firing instant-kill akimbo Deagles before, so it should be possible to use mods to change the models and attributes of existing akimbo weapons into new ones.

As long as the magazine's in roughly the same location, using existing animations shouldn't prove too much of an issue. This mod replaces the animations of a bunch of different weapons with the micro uzi's and it works well enough for the ones with magazines in the grip (Apart from the animation not matching the reload time but if you're editing the gun's values you can easily change that).
