They turned from a gang of indies in their parent's place eating ramen with an overkill goal (or at least that's what they say they are) to a big fat monster of an entity that cares only about profit and will continue regardless of whether everyone who made it what it is leave it or not, but gladly uses that old indie identity so they don't look like the corporate money grubbers they are.
Simon's gone, Ulf's gone, the only original guy left is Bo and hey, maybe he'll get gone some day. And then we'll just be stuck here with Almir's winkie face. Well, some of us will be. I'm gone. I spent months playing Payday constantly, I know how it feels to lose that constant entertainment source. But it's a fuck you, suck our dick or leave scenario. My suggestion is to leave, and play something else if you can. Work on your backlog. Getting back to other games is extremely refreshing when you start, or at least, it was for me.

Hey man, the numbers tell them the community is loving it. They consider it a great failure and the backlash was unexpected, but at the same time the system is justified and a big success.
Quick reminder:
-People who complain = misled media entities
-People who buy things on the market = the loyal, great community Overkill deserve :^)

My point is, I left it because Valve keep adding new ways to suck people's money and not giving a damn about their weapon balance, maps or gamemodes. Sure, we got some balance in the way, but we also the skin system too. So no way for me to get back there. At least we have TF2C.

MvM is fun, but it has been made in mind for coop, so, someone that plays singleplayer like me gets destroyed easily unless I edit some files.

My friends were really the only thing keeping me playing this game and they're all done too so that's that for me. But yeah I must admit it's pretty depressing that this all happened, I had some really fucking great times playing this game that just aren't gonna be possible to have anymore.
the safe wouldn't suck as much if it recognized what weapons you own, the only problem with that is that you'll get more barf flakes.

But with the recent AMA, i probably lost two of them
And two people doesn't make a big enough crew to fill the void
As far as I'm concerned, whether the game lives on forever or not, Payday officially died 7 hours ago.

Honestly I feel the same way. Me and a buddy used to play the shit out of PD TH, and when PD2 was announced we pre ordered it without a second thought. We've been loyal supporters, buying the DLC and such. We've sunken so much cash and game play hours into this game that it's really hard to move on from it. But, boy, Overkill sure want us gone.

I've got 1042 hours right now where i went and bought every single DLC except for the Chivalry pack
I've been supporting their shit for all this time and basically being really blind

The most I ever had of a crew was 3. Once there was 4 when we accidently left the game open, we carried a pub named Peewee 30 levels, it was glorious.
My friend got bored of payday after LMGs were introduced, so now it's just me and my brother playing when there's enough new content

Sure, Crimefest sucked ass, but it doesn't mean the game is not fun now. I still enjoy playing it with friends, isn't that what Payday is all about? Just playing the game with your pals and having a good time?

I've met like 3 people in the past few days alone just from the group.
I think I'll still keep an eye on Payday 2 in case there's miraculously something nice and free down the line but as far as I'm concerned Overkill aren't getting more of my money be it for Payday 2 or otherwise.

I'm currently on my phone but yes. Check the steam announcement or the AMA, definitely saw it somewhere.
The balance is very fine on payday 2 for me atm- ive always loved the gameplay, the masks, the characters- even the story-line (what little there is of it), but overkill keep adding shitty things that piss me off, and it's getting to the point where enough of these intrusive shitty things are happening that they are starting to get on my nerves and actually detract from the fun im having.
At this point all it's going to take is for me to get to a particularly grindy level after my next infamous level up, or a more interesting game will grab my attention, or maybe they will add something so awful that it tips the balance entirely, and ill lose interest for good.
It's just not the same if you're not laughing at shit happening with people you played with for more than a year
