I don't think I can even have that much fun in PD2 in its current state. Last times i kept playing because it was fun playing as Jacket spamming lines with PocoHud and using a pink machine gun with a ~fabulous~ pattern or have a legitimately great skin for a gun I loved, but there was a tradeoff that somehow my FPS never was higher than 35 and performance was ass. Now, no mods allowed and I can't have line spam nor kick ass weapon customization. I legit spent an hour straight trying out different colour/pattern combos on various guns and even tried out ones I barely touched before because I found a cool idea to colour the gun.
Honestly, my main problems are that Overkill didn't add much needed technical updates(jumping animation and SWAT Van rebalance excluded) into the game that have been requested since forever, and instead we got this shit going on. I guess I'll just forget about the game until GoonMod Weapon Customizer is back.

I think Simon could probably say whatever the fuck he wanted to if he isn't under some contract or something. He helped found the company. Like I mean, Robert Pattinson can talk shit on the Twilight movies all he wants they're still going to want him if they make another. What are they going to do, not hire the guy that makes all the signature music and provides the voice of the most prominent character in the game? But yeah, I wonder what he thinks of it too. My bets are that he either approves, doesn't care, or doesn't approve but doesn't voice those concerns in public because I'm sure he has friends at Overkill and it would make it very awkward.

People rarely talk about skins and shit in the CSGO thread. When a new case comes out it's "oh shit x looks neat" or "oh shit x looks like shit" for a few pages and then it goes back to other shit like maps, and occasional knife appraisal, bitching about hackers and the state of comp, the pro scene, etc.
Well, i still hope that people like Coyoteze will still be able to do their job well, remember, most of us are hating Almir and the shareholders, not you guys who still are able to amaze us with your work

While I'm sure Simon is concerned about the community, I doubt he is too worried. He's the voice and sound of a game that is going to be getting expansion packs until at least 2017.

One last thing I'd like to bitch about regarding this event: You can't really say "well the game's still fun!" because all the original players in the community that built it up to what it is now and a big chunk of my friends that made it fun in the first place are just gone. The mods that also helped make the game fun? Gone. The only big personality I can think of still left is GeneralMcBadass, but there's some rumors that he's in cahoots with OVK.
I'll still keep the game installed to try out the new BLT or something, but with about 3/4 of my friends list just done with this game there's not much point left anymore. Playing with FP buddies even seems like too much of a chore since I'll always have those shitty, disinterested and utterly soulless Almir responses just lingering in the backburner. "The numbers we've seen thus far are positive..." Fucking haunting is what it is.

If you had to rely on mods for the fun, then there kind of already was no point in going further in my eyes
I'm just gonna keep on trying to have fun, i still enjoy the settings and characters, and that's most of what matters here

I haven't played PD2 for nearly as long as some people, but I've been around for most of TF2's wild ride from humble beginnings to the shenanigans it is now.
I can certainly understand being angry about them going against their own word 2 years later, but people need to calm down.
Sure its something to get a little flustered over, but it will blow over and eventually you wont even bat an eye at it, that's how tf2 is, and you should learn to just deal with it.
The game is still the same game it was before, its just got a few extra flashy attachments.
I want my powerful shotties back.
