I don't know much about weapons, so yes, you're right. But still I feel after little research they could find some ideas for modifications. Even this or this. So fucking sexy.
Are you really expecting OVK to make an effort?
Well, it's good question and I can't give you clearly answer. After latest update with COP items - I'm afraid not. But then, when I see FWB and Slaughterhouse...
So the path of self-destruction continues? Figures, although they are probably able to survive even without a real fanbase. Microtransactions plus the Steam market are like a cancer that kills the host and then completely takes over, keeping it alive indefinitely. Because with every resell, Overkill gains more money, and since there'll always be gamblers and people aiming to make a small profit, there will always be resellers, making Overkill more and more money as long as they keep pumping out more safes and skins. Expect skins to become the central focus of updates in the coming years btw.

You're playing into their hands, even if it's only a penny at a time.
There's a lot of people being like "THANKS FOR THE FREE MONEY OVK" except this is where Overkill's "Positive income" is coming from, people selling the skins, where they get part of the money With the amount of people selling, it's probably a lot of money by now
What's your favorite heist to click on cops in? Mine's Slaughterhouse.
Is this possibly the biggest blunder a developer has done with its game? I can't think of anything as big as this.

I can't believe how fast OVK managed to turn their own fanbase against them. I still love this game and it character, but I just can't bring myself to care with the attitude OVK has been displaying lately and blatantly ignoring the community. Its almost surreal. a friend of mine pointed this out they kept lab rats due to "popular demand" so why aren't p2w skins gone?
$$$
a friend of mine pointed this out they kept lab rats due to "popular demand" so why aren't p2w skins gone?
Because their data shows that these microtransactions are popular among the playerbase, silly! OVERKILL would never lie to us, right? :v:
a friend of mine pointed this out they kept lab rats due to "popular demand" so why aren't p2w skins gone?
Because a Twitter poll was made for Lab Rats and not for the removal of skins/p2w. Twitter polls are sacred.

I honestly think that Overkill has fucked themselves over as soon as they introduced the boosts You can't simply remove them with the amount of people who probably spent money to get boosts, because you know, some idiots will have No matter what they do now, they'll have no way out
They can replace boosts with something else
More skins
More skins
Or stuff like Statrak weapons from CS:GO. [editline]16th November 2015[/editline]
I tried this again and it didn't work for me. Can someone update me with what the hell is going on with these boost? I haven't kept up with anything since the skins ordeal
Can someone update me with what the hell is going on with these boost? I haven't kept up with anything since the skins ordeal
They affect everyone in the team, so asshole hosts are now kicking people that don't have them.
They affect everyone in the team, so asshole hosts are now kicking people that don't have them.
Remember when people were saying: "Microtransactions will kill the game and its community!" ? Looks like Overkill is taking great care to make the prophecy come true.
They affect everyone in the team, so asshole hosts are now kicking people that don't have them.
I can attest to that, it usually starts with something like "no boost?" or "equip boost skin" And if you don't react within 10 sec or just outright tell them you don't own one they kick you instantly, or in a very rare case they say "noob" and THEN kick you.
I can attest to that, it usually starts with something like "no boost?" or "equip boost skin" And if you don't react within 10 sec or just outright tell them you don't own one they kick you instantly, or in a very rare case they say "noob" and THEN kick you.
This is fucking unacceptable.
They can replace boosts with something else
They can't People spent a shitton on having advantages, if you suddenly replace that with something else entirely (Especially with something that doesn't have much meaning like stat tracking) people are gonna be angry They're either gonna lose a constant income and gain a community or vice versa As a business, they aren't just gonna do that, unless people stop buying and selling skins, safes and drills and lower their financial gain, they won't stop
I can attest to that, it usually starts with something like "no boost?" or "equip boost skin" And if you don't react within 10 sec or just outright tell them you don't own one they kick you instantly, or in a very rare case they say "noob" and THEN kick you.
I'm glad I always host my own lobbies, then. And, besides, who gives a shit, the bonus is only 1%, and at max it's a measly 3%.
I'm glad I always host my own lobbies, then. And, besides, who gives a shit, the bonus is only 1%, and at max it's a measly 3%.
It stacks if you use more of them That's why people want more than 1
I'm glad I always host my own lobbies, then. And, besides, who gives a shit, the bonus is only 1%, and at max it's a measly 3%.
Apparently, alot of people. Also I really don't want a to get an expensive skin or gamble for one with a measly insignificant boost (You're Infamy 2-fucking-5, why the unholy dickshit is your ass so tight about someone not using boosts) just to be able to play in pubs because they're ugleh and I despise their very concept. But mostly because they're only for the specific guns that I dislike using. :v: Really feels like the community did a hard 180 on the kick policy for skins, doesn't it? First anyone with a skin gets more shunned than in the John Wick fiasco, and now people are actively and aggressively enforcing boost skin usage.
I personally thought that the whole skins with extra stat increases was far from microtransactions. Yes, while you CAN buy a skin on the steam community market that has +2 stability, it'l be a negligible increase and you're really not gaining much from it. But this new thing with the whole team boosts is literal microtransactions to the point where a mobile game would have it

Yeah some of them break concealment entirely.
