At least KF2's system is sounding much better than what Overkill has done
For Early Access title It doesn't help much.
KF2 launches its unboxing schema, priding itself on making them purely cosmetic: http://killingfloor2.com/Zedconomy/ wonder what recent events heavily influenced the writing on this page
the future of gaming gents
Sure can't wait for animal crossing and the next sonic game to have paid weapon skins
I wonder if Shadow the Hedgehog would have been more profitable for SEGA if they had held it back to release on the PS3 with paid skin DLC.
Qualities of "not so fast" "ok fast" and "super fast"
followed by the super rare "way past cool"
At least KF2's system is sounding much better than what Overkill has done
grass is greener, etc.
followed by the super rare "way past cool"
Let's not forget about crate "OC DO NOT STEAL".

It's quite sad that this is what games are resorting to now.
Valve, what plague have you unleashed upon the world? First TF2, then CS, then Payday 2...
Honestly I couldn't give less of a shit as long as it stays cosmetic. Its stupid to do in early access but, that to me while a good point, feels more like a side argument. Or a discussion that relates to the topic of "Are MicroTrans bad?" but is not the actual topic itself. A better way of putting it is, I don't know how I feel about it being so early in development and the game itself has barely any content which sucks ass. But the idea itself of cosmetic only stuff is entirely fine. You don't need a shiny weapon skin or whatever and if the income from it is used in a meaningful way to enhance the game or future games, then who cares? Not me. We'll see what happens I suppose. :dewritos: I'm waiting.

I forgot to mention but this laptop on the alesso pyro booth says "overkill was here" in binary also press <THERMITE> [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/397803122503251733/03C8AB4B2721F07D487963387EFD4B42C6861727/[/T]
If I'm correct, this update contains ONLY cosmetics. There is no info about new perks or new map.
:nope:
Why is there a golden SAA in the exceedingly rare items pic Is the SAA itself even in the game??
If I'm correct, this update contains ONLY cosmetics. There is no info about new perks or new map.
nope, they've talked about the gunslinger perk which is pretty much done, a new character, two new maps (remake of farm from kf1 and a forest map), possible patriarch addition, and the cosmetic stuff.
with kf2 its more of a shocking announcement considering half the perks in the game are still missing
Missing promised stuff in the game didn't stop ovk to do DLC and skins [editline]24th November 2015[/editline]
Sure can't wait for animal crossing and the next sonic game to have paid weapon skins
Considering the path nintendo took with ssb,no doubt AC will have bad DLCs
I'd call it worse than copying CS:GO's skins. The skins in CS:GO are 100% entirely cosmetic, even the special versions only add a pointless kill counter that pretty much solely exists to add artificial value for trading. It doesn't fucking matter one iota whether you have a skin or not and no-one really cares, you won't get kicked from a comp match for not having a skin or anything. On the other hand, Overkill added stat boosts so a player with a skin can straight up perform better than a player using the same gun with the same mods but no skin, and now these team boosts which seem to have become the new must-have-or-get-kicked thing among the shittier parts of the community.
Not to mention that CS:GO gives you skins for doing well in matches and that means you dont really need to buy keys for a skin while you can just earn one for being good. While the only way of getting skins in PD2 is to buy drills or buy from the Market.
Not to mention that CS:GO gives you skins for doing well in matches and that means you dont really need to buy keys for a skin while you can just earn one for being good. At least for those in charge all of those great decisions that were made.
Not to mention that CS:GO gives you skins for doing well in matches and that means you dont really need to buy keys for a skin while you can just earn one for being good.
I'm pretty sure they give them randomly after each match, max 2 skins and 2 safes per week
KF2 actually has the possibility to drop anything at the end, cosmetic or weapon Hell, every quality except the rarest one drops
I'm expecting it to go the CS:GO route. You will get nothing but the 2 lowest qualities every single time, maybe a blue every so often. Or even a purple once a year. As for the 2 highest qualities, you're better off throwing too fiddy at a box and gambling for them. Even though that pissant trader, who did jack diddily shit the entire match and contributed nothing to victory, managed to score one.
generalmcbadass man made a video about my payday dating sim, and i didn't even update the game :v:

Here anyone who doesn't contribute to the match just gets kicked. Also applies to people who do contribute to the match but spam "gibe cases pls"/"someone trade me pls" whenever they can.
Next up: chivalry economy

They will come soon and they will shove TF2s dying assbackwards economy into KF2 when they do, like they did with CS:GO. (If you couldn't tell by now, I despise traders with a burning passion :v: )
generalmcbadass man made a video about my payday dating sim, and i didn't even update the game :v:
I was gonna ask a couple of days ago who had created cause I remember being someone on FP, but forgot about it afterwards. Holy shit those typos made me laugh.
I knew I was right to bitch about the change in DLC practices from trip when they released wep pack 1 and started shitting out characters when it used to be like 4 chars a pack The kf thread would talk big shit about DLC in pd2 but I bet if there's anyone left talking there that they can agree this is worse than $5-7 quality content [editline]24th November 2015[/editline]
Not yet, but when this kind of system appears in any game they show up very quickly afterwards, looking for their next quick buck. It used to be weapons and pretty hats but now even tf2 has lame ugly weapon skins. I miss when trading was like Pokemon for hats Edit: No one wants to look aesthetically pleasing and do well in a competitive environment anymore. It's particle effets, taunts, and garish reskins/colors as far as the eye can see. Worst part is valve still cans high quality content because muh art style even though it's dead
