are you just completely unaware that they held a tournament with a prize pool recently?
[editline]1st December 2015[/editline]
or that they're literally copying every esport's model right now?
Weren't Counterfiet and Undercover pretty far along?
Maybe we're getting those, 5 achievements each, 1 Deathwish and 4 others.
What are the rules even.
What are the rules even.
Fastest win on slaughterhouse,no rng,no skins(!)
That's kind of the only way they could've done a competition
But the idea is honestly rather stupid

It actually turned out very well! I was at Dreamhack looking over things and we learnt a lot from it, but judging by the participants reactions and feedback, competitive PD2 (as a time-attack thing) has a lot of potential. They all seemed to have a ton of fun, and I don't think I've ever seen people be this coordinated and strategic when playing a heist before. It was pretty tense!

Well that's cool i guess
I just hope that this won't be an actual game feature, bringing a competitive nature to a co-op game would kinda ruin it

In it's current state it's more of a separate version of the heist where time-attack is the focus, meaning the random elements you'd usually find are removed or changed to be fair on every team. That said, it's still co-op even if there's a competitive element to it. It's still about clearing the heist and all of it's objectives with your teammates alive, just with the added edge of doing it quickly and efficiently.
Ok so I just restarted playing PayDay and what the fuck happened to all my wepons?

Your wepons got messed up !
So day 1 today or nah?
To burden your horse worth heavy purse could mean fill your vehicle with so many bags?
For people still vaguely interested, the ten achievements are listed in two separate groups of five internally. One set called "berry" and one set called "jerry".

Or it may refer to the big ass payday the wolf pack heists were supposed to give.
If it's paid DLC, it's time to see if all this extra income from skins is partially going towards making higher quality content. I'm guessing "no", but I figure it's fair to give them a chance.

Wonder what heists they are.

A skin unlocker is readily available so I doubt they are making too much. People may buy the small stuff but anything over $20 I'm sure people look into ways to get it for free.
What's great is that since Payday 2 is literally lua: the game, skins should still be unlockable no matter what they do to it. Honestly the only reason why I still play because I don't have to give a shit about it.
I'm pretty sure someone said they made 20k and since they employ so many people that's less than 200 dollars a person if it were to be divided evenly which of course it wouldn't.
It's not very much.

It's definitely not gonna be worth it in the long run unless a bunch of people eat their shit up after this
The OVERKILL B-Sides Soundtrack
We'll be looking to updating the B-Sides Soundtrack on either the 3rd or the 10th of December.
So, probably that new patch with achievements will be coming out in thursday.
So no Day 1?
Day 1 was obviously about presenting the new safes and drills, they realized they better skip it and add it as a footnote to day 3.

*Ditch
But who knows, two free heists or a nice two day heist would be... nice.
Here's a question, did we ever get a proper three day heist since launch, DLC or otherwise? I don't think we did, the closest we got was election day and that was a two day heist with two different paths.
It'd be nice to have a heist where each previous day could have an impact on the next, something like "find the blueprints for (thing) on day 1, you can now score some extra loot on day 2 but have to re-secure it on day 3" risk reward type stuff or a different way to do the next day.

I assume this was one of David Goldfarb's ideas, who liked difficulty and challenge. Since he left a while ago, Overkill focuses on shorter heists nowadays.

Last I checked, there was such a heist in the works and nearing completion. Worknamed "Rigged", it's a 2-day heist where going loud or stealth during Day 1, in a storage unit facility, will likely influence the events in Day 2, a gang weapons deal at a construction site. Pretty much the same way as for Framing Frame Day 1 and 2.
The only other 2-day heist currently known is Holly, the Christmas heist. Since that was confirmed as not being this one, so...

I think the closest we got to this was Rats, where if you don't cook 3 bags of meth, you (probably) don't get the codes on day 2 for the big cash grab finale that is day 3.
Edit: Oh also Election day, with the faux bank heist if you fail day 1
