I can't live without radar tbh.
I use radar to check for bomb location, where my team mates are and which direction they are going.
For example, on mirage:
I am on CT stairs, looking down into T ramp and Palace.
Enemies don't show up, I hear nothing happening on B, so I check radar to see if anyone is in: Underpass or looking mid.
Seriously, radar is extremely useful if you get used to it.
I don't think I would be able to play well if radar out of sudden dissapeared.
Almost forgot to say about step sounds too.
I often hear step sounds behind wall, I check radar/map and if I see my team mate on that side of wall - we're safe, if not - I say: "Steps on X" and prepare for defense/attack.
Also confirming bomb site, if I hear a shooting on B for example, I check map and if I see bomb on that site, I would say it's B and rush there, if not, I stay in my location.

If I'm holding an angle on something and not doing much else checking radar is something I do often. Hell, I even make callouts for teammates when I see 3 red dots pushing long doors and they're too busy shooting.

The radar shows teammates at all times, so if it was looked at, the other guy'd probably still be alive.

Uh, I try doing that sometimes but it seems I have no luck, the enemy usually pops in my screen while I'm looking at the radar :v:
The only time I remember it was useful was when someone spotted an enemy on cache and I could wallbang him while behind that door at A site in Cache just by looking at the radar. Other than that I don't remember using it that much.

I've had the exact opposite happen to me.
"Rush palace"
We rush through, site is clear for enough time for a plant.
The guy with the bomb waits in palace until we all die then bhops to b. Because Russia.

Holy shit, I've had three ties so far today.
First half goes perfectly, 10-5 halfs on T-side, second half every enemy starts to play more and more suspicious and eventually the game ties, three times in a row.
Back to FaceIT it is.

Holding catwalk area on A site season. (that's what we call it anyway)
Told there's an enemy push over on B, 3 - 4 guys at least, that changes to ALL B shouted over the mic, so i get ready to rotate but hear a solitary footstep on the staircase the other side of the wall and wonder if it's a 4 man decoy and bombs over at A with me. Iv'e already smoked the entrance so i decided to flash through and get the lurk or solitary guy maybe with the bomb. Flash through, get flashed by the enemy on the way in. White screen.
Screen fades, all 5 T's standing there looking at the smoke, I'm standing in front of the wall behind them out of their line of sight. One of them looks back and i shit myself. mow down 2 of them and hit a 3rd for 99. I die. Thanks game for that but more importantly "ALL B ALL B", what a load of bollocks that ended up being, and this is a premade with full comms and good teamwork together :wideeye:

Just played against wannabe smurf (wannabe, because he openly brags about it and seems to be proud that his main account is DMG)
Anyway, was destroying the shit out of him, I mean not just killing but properly obliterating.
Then he got mad and switched to autosniper and made his whole team use autosniper.
We lost with 16-12 because well, it's a fucking autobot squad.
Not sure how I feel about that, kinda amused from seeing how desperate some smurfs get, and kinda angry because I damaged my rank.

How to counter any form of snipers giving you hell:
Smokes and flashes. If they always hole up in the same place nade them. Smoke off those locations so they have to rotate and you can close the gap without that much of a risk.
This usually goes for taking a site, but it's usually a must for good snipers

I fucking love pissing off smurfs. If we have no chance of winning, the least I can do is make them super fucking mad. I made a dude fucking yell at endgame and it was hilarious.
It's just all about finding the small things. The moment they go "DUDE REALLY. A P90." in anger is the moment you use nothing but a P90.

Make a new lobby, once a lobby is created if its initial creation type is set to public even if you change that to private it can still be joined.
