Newer ? Isn't fraps like uh ... discontinued or something ?
Last "version" was from 2013 but there's been like 20~ different builds since then. [editline]28th July 2015[/editline]
why not just use startmovie
Because source recorder is trash, it doesn't support most codecs, it tends to crash very often and can't save over 4gb.
Shadowplay also has the buffer thing to keep the last 5 mins of footage ready to save which is handy. I suppose if I knew I was going to be recording something in advance I would use dxtory but my PC isn't good enough to record with it non-stop :suicide:
How does the kick cooldown thing work? I asked to get kicked and got 24hr cooldown even though last time i got kicked was around 1month ago
You must have done other stuff recently, like abandoning or kicking teammates. The things that trigger a cooldown aren't independent of each other. This guide explains it pretty well.
I have no idea why anyone would be recording non stop anyway. Every PUG service offers 64+ tick GOTV demos, MM has demos as well even if at a lower quality. If you're scrimming you can record your own demo. You just record off of demos and go happily on your way with resources or GPU power being a non issue. If you want voice etc. that's a different matter, but in reality, most people don't.

Pretty sure ive recorded like 37 gig files. edit : :: : wait are we talking about recording as you play or recording from a demo after???

Also stitching together over a billion images for a 60fps video is just tiring when I can record a demo, smooth it out, pick a lossless low resource usage codec, record it at 60fps then import it directly for editing all within a few minutes. Also Dxtory works as a catch all recorder, source recorder can't run in everything and it can't capture external audio. Its very limited.

for highest quality motion blurred videos for stuff like fragmovies used srcdemo2 for quick clips to show off and not edit use OBS/shadowplay [editline]28th July 2015[/editline]
The difference between seeing something in game and on demo is shocking,
okay and? unless you want all of your hud in the video + constantly filling up your hdd and lowering your fps recording real time isnt a practical option

Oh boy do I love eastern europeans even more now. Queued for cobble and got all slav team that gave callouts in english which in my books negates the constant "jebane blyat" talk. First half done, we started as CT, I had 20/12 stats meanwhile everyone else was under rocking at under 10 kills. We lost the first half obviously, 6-9 and on the T side these fuckers start hiding in the tower with a zeus and a tec-9. Luckily they agreed to kick me instead of making me abandon. [editline]28th July 2015[/editline] Oh and the next match I get greeted by this.
How do you make 1080p look like 480p
I forgot to set up OBS after reinstalling :x Reuploaded a better version
I record pov demos of every single competitive match I play, no matter how bad or good, so I just go to that date / match / time it began and play the demo for team voip, no self voip though (thankfully, I sound horrible)

I guess we challenged the Mogglazz guy too hard.
B hold too strong for trash talkers.
Anyone know why my dedicated server's ping var increases whenever molotov/he/smoke action is going on? Any workaround for this or do I just have to up the resources?
After playing my main at Supreme for awhile and still not getting Global I decided to play my alt which was at LE just to get more drops and all that fun stuff. Come to find out like 3 days later it get Supreme too. Woo!

don't you lose less ranked points if you win more rounds when you lose? Why do people wanna get kicked if the game looks bad?
don't you lose less ranked points if you win more rounds when you lose? Why do people wanna get kicked if the game looks bad?
I don't like kicks for that reason tbh. Suck up the 30 minute cooldown. You already decided the game is worth less than the cooldown so just do everyone a favor and abandon and go do something else.
You know if i was SoloQ and i was matched against a premade I'd consider leaving in the warmup. I mean you are not going to learn anything you can use from the defeat because it's mostly going to come down to teamwork and comm's which isn't something you need to take a loss to learn. Don't get me wrong you can beat premades with random teams but if the teams are equally skilled (as in man for man) then you can't win because the teamwork becomes more apparent. SoloQ should not put you against 5 mans, heck I'd even say 3 man teams are too much. In other news just played a game with 2 mates and a 2 SoloQ, both ended up being a hacking griefing scumbags, no point in trying to vote kick cause there was 2 of them and none of us wanted the 30 min cooldown and none of the enemy team left likely for the same reason. They bought nothing but shit weapons on full buys and went from murdering everything or being shit every round. When they were the last ones left they'd piss about and not defuse the bomb or plant. Basically cunts. We all did the decent thing and reported them which means the game will likely be void meaning we had to sit through 50 mins of bullshit which we was locked into basically for nothing. Fantastic.
don't you lose less ranked points if you win more rounds when you lose? Why do people wanna get kicked if the game looks bad?
No, outside of the mm system using glicko2 and win = good, loss = bad we dont know anything about how rank and each match is calibrated
No, outside of the mm system using glicko2 and win = good, loss = bad we dont know anything about how rank and each match is calibrated
Personal experience and an educated guess suggests to me that a 14-16 win hurts your rank less than a 3 - 16. A loss is always gonna hurt but each individual round win saves you something, but enemy ranks, bots and likely MVP's all factor in. No one know's how it works but it's not gonna be as simple as overall game wins and losses being the deciding factor too many instances where people i know should have ranked up but did'nt if that was the case.
Rip supreme. v:v:v
Rip supreme. v:v:v
That's why I never post here about rank up until I get about 4 wins on new rank. It looks like roller coaster sometimes.
