IMO smurfing is just bad if you have another account which is way below your current skill (which means you'll obviously destroy most matches you play), other than that, I can't see how it's bad if the unique difference between the two accounts is that you use one for solo and the other for parties (ranks are close/even).

So now instead of playing comp we've just been grinding the fuck out of casual when we play so we can finally get back to this even though we've all been playing this game for multiple years and are in the GN4 area of rank.
Unranked Matchmaking, make it fucking happen. Then all the legit players can play comp with their friends without any constraints leaving all the smurfs polluting the ranking system to choke on dicks along with hackers for 8 hours. Problem solved.

Supreme/GE "smurfs" don't exist because there's no higher skill level to smurf down from, so it's mostly just a shitty excuse cheaters make for whatever reason cheaters act legit

I can't really see a guy with 20 hours being more than GE on his main, bascically because there is no such thing, and if there were (Like, a difference between lower bracket GE and higher backet GE) then it'd be a bit more uncommon than to have 2-3 of these "smurfs" every week. And as to the "Well, he might just be the smurf of a semi-pro or pro guy" I have to say that I've been matched with "pros" and while they do have a higher level that you won't find in MM regularly, they're not capable of just walking over you with a 40-10 or shit like that.

If they're smashing you, they're going to be grouped outside of those ranks within 2 wins. If they're not, what's the difference? With that in mind, the odds that they're really a smurf in those ranks is extremely low, they'd have to be a really really shitty smurf.

If somebody is willing to spend a whole week of their life jumping off a building repeatedly in a video game then they deserve to be in silver. Also there's an easy solution even though it seems like an asshole's one - just get out of silver. Smurfs shouldn't hold you back from getting out of the easiest rank in the game. Practice, study and play hard. You're meant to be able to get out of it. Hundreds of thousands of people have. If you're not willing to try to improve enough to defeat silver smurfs then maybe competitive isn't for you.

The point is that I've seen a lot of videos on youtube where people troll silvers in MM and speaking from experience (me starting out as Silver II) it's safe to say that there are people out there who will de-rank themselves to silver just to laugh at how poor they play.
I contacted Steam Support about my stolen items and they reversed the trading so I could get my stuff back! Dreams do come true!

It's not just a silver league with silver players new to the game willing to learn. It's full of troll's, smurfs, hackers and of course shit players it just warps everything down there, your individual ability only gets you so far and in some cases it's not enough because you can only control what you are doing. I have a friend who was stuck in a never ending cycle of winning 2 or 3 games getting close to ranking up then meeting a hacker, smurf or greifing / bad team mates which would give him a heavy defeat setting him right back at the start, if they are 'ranked lower' than him then it puts him back even further. Yet within a week of playing with us in a 5 man he made nova 3, and 3 weeks later he was / is around MGE / DMG. We didn't have to carry him he knew exactly what to do, where to go made calls and just generally did not play like a silver, yet after 200 games MM still had him down there despite having obviously progressed beyond that skill bracket. I would say getting in a 5 man is a great answer to this, but it's not exactly easily done.

Just played two comp matches with people my rank (nova 2~, normally I quene with an MG). Man is it hell. The first match I had this toxic player who was a constant downer, and did idiotic things (example: he had the plant on dust 2 at B and knew there was an awper watching him in tunnels. He crosses back and fourth twice from the two stacked boxes to the corner by window, and dieing). The second match there was no communication, and a guy who couldn't awp wanting to awp (2 rounds after I get a 4k awping). 22 wins and chugging along for that 125 needed for overwatch.
Ah shit missed my bet on Fnatic vs. Titan, going on Titan now because they said they can do it guys. YOU HAVE TO HAVE FAITH!
