They can make no difference or a huge difference or anything in between.
Razer speed and control are vastly different for example. If your mouse movement is fine it wont make much of a change, but if it isn't it can change a fair bit.

I currently place my mouse on one of my textbooks because I've recently moved and didn't have time to get a mousepad and I feel like I've been doing better. Is this just like an odd coincidence?
A mousepad will maybe make you feel more comfortable. It's just a nice thing to have for some people. It won't magically make you any better at the game like a lot of the people in this thread will have you believe, it most likely won't even improve your aim, [b]it's all just preference.[/b]
I played without one for years and only got one a while ago to keep my desk/bottom of my mouse in better condition, and I still sometimes choose not to play with it when I play CS:GO. And if I have to have something to show for it, I'm a 10th-win-DMG'er
For me It helped because I was using an itty bitty mouse pad. Upgraded to a Corsair large one, and now I can track all over the place.

They do when you lacked the space to move your hand more than 20 degrees to one side without running off it, I can actually aim now.

That's nothing bro...
I got kicked twice for having 2 cheaters in my team and telling them (in chat) to disable and play properly.
I guess it was a party, cuz Russians stick together, and have minimal English skills.

Right, but I doubt winning all your ten first comp matches isn't gonna guarantee you'll get LEM/Supreme or even GE as first rank.

Oh hardly, its gonna depend on performance and the random selection of who you end up against in the first 5 matches, MM will still throw you against novas or mgs even if you're walking over them for your first few games before it attempts to match you higher.
You can end up 40 bombing mgs and still get a first rank of eagle because it never bothered to match you against higher ranks.

Well think about it like this;
Overwatch needs 6 reports to have a file on someone. This was 11 before, meaning a person wouldnt get banned if he played only one match that day. But now its 6 so if you report the hackers on your team, you'll sign a file to their ban.(Assuming you dont have a masochist player on the other team)
almost all the custom paint job skins look better with wear, the factory new ones look like nerf guns

I think people have calculated the chance of a knife is 0.2% or so. A red weapon has to be 10% max, not sure if people have calculated it

Found this online but the ratios are inflated due to the sources being YouTube. People usually don't upload videos without a good drop

One is used for the mic (the one around the neck), the other one is for noise cancellation so that they can't hear the crowd or the announcers. Under the noise cancellation headset they have earbuds to hear in-game sound.
