Getting so tired of people with 10 - 60 hours destroying in competitive.

Change it so that you need 200 hours to play competitive and I'd be the happiest person ever.

That would kill smurfs and hacking forever.

I think LoL uses this system and it works fine.

Yeah I am done, that was probably the biggest upset ever, I have lost all trust in betting on these teams. Team at bottom of CEVO with no wins, who have been unable to beat anyone and no chance of qualifying suddenly beats G2 on two of their better maps. This is bullshit.

LoL requires you to level up to 30 and you can buy boosts to make this quicker to play ranked. Difference is LoL also has competitive matchmaking for everyone below 30 and is alot harder to (subtly) cheat in.

All you would achieve with a 200 hour limit for mm is people selling 200 hour accounts (same as is now with the level 3) or idling.

Get level 3 to play comp and your rank disappears after a month or so, you need to win 1 match to get it back.

You need to be level 3 to play comp now. Also, rank disappears if you don't play comp for a month, but it will come back again the next time you win.

I hadn't played it since before all this competitive and rank shit, back when it was CS:S with nicer graphics. Imagine the look on my face when all of a sudden e-sports shit and "op bloodhound" and stuff all over the place, I really just want it back to the simple CS:S upgrade it was before.

There's nothing complicated here though, gameplay is very similar to css (being a counter strike game), except now it's way easier to play in a competitive 5v5 environment.

no imo everytime someone buys csgo someone from valve should personally go to their house and check if they are smurfing, if they are permaban them from steam

Cod is more expensive than CS:GO and there's plenty of cheaters on there, it's pretty much just a recreational purchase.

The fun thing is that most people are against anti-smurfing because they'll lose their smurfs and no longer be able to stomp on lower ranks. They don't care it ruins the game below DMG level.

And there really is no excuse like "Oh but I want to play with my friends", at least in Europe.

Faceit is also full of people that will stomp on those that aren't DMG regardless.

What is there to get? Smurfs with malicious reason are bitches, but there are those (i.e. me) who have to smurf because of the retarded restrictions valve placed upon mm. Before they restricted the ranks I played on my regular account with my s3/s4 /low nova friends and after that I [b]had[/b] to make a new account because my rank was too high above the lowest one.

Telling someone to take their low ranked friends to some third party system where they'll [i]definitely[/i] get stomped on is dumb. I'm against valve's method of anti-smurfing because it [i]encourages[/i] smurfing. There are probably better ways of going about it than trying to scare off the new playerbase (play 200 hours before being allowed to go into competitive, really? They'll go into comp with the entirely wrong mindset chances are, and will probably have to start over from there)

I can tell you just came from a disappointing match, and that sucks, but pick yourself up and realize that nothing will be done about it, and if anything will be - it'll bring more smurfs over to the low rank brackets.

You'll do absolutely fine on Faceit even if you're silver.

Yes, the matchmaking is unranked, but faceit is definitely not a haven of people "MGE or higher".

It's better than someone stomping all over some poor silvers and ruining their game.

On the topic of having a bad team mate who queued with a higher rank, I quite often do this with a friend because I don't want to smurf where I can avoid it, and the way I see it is that I normally get ~35 per 30 round game, if they get their average of ~11 then between the two of us we have provided slightly more than 2 players worth of contribution.

I do have a hard time motivating myself to keep trying when I'm not getting momentum, though. A month ago I would be working flat out and getting 3ks even when the rest of my team were doing nothing, with my worst performance against non-blatent hackers over a 2 month period of over 100 games being still above average, and I'd at least make things close, however recently I'm either hitting near 40 frags or just struggling to get going at all, as if my ability ranged between MG2 and whatever rank gets you hackusations from DMG/LE players.

Yeah I lost a good $14 on Piter, then I made 10 bucks on Titan, probably gonna take a break from better for now. I always start off making really safe bets and I make a decent amount of money then I start getting careless.
