For some reason Sony Vegas 12 likes to renders my videos with a horrible dark tinge. Tried fiddling
with the composite levels cpu rgb > studio rgb but it still doesn't look right. Guess I need to take some time finding the optimal balance of gamma/saturation.

Two downsides that seem small, but might be a reason.

1)It's 210 movement speed compared to 215 of AK, not only is it slower to places, but you get tagged more and your aim will have to be a little different when counter-stepping.

2)I think it was said earlier that the other small downside is having to horizontally compensate your first few bullets. The AK and M4 have easy vertical recoil compensation in their first few bullets.

That being said, I fully agree that it is being underused in competitive play. If ahead on T side, or against a pesky CT longrange I feel pro's need to use it more. I could see one person in a team's full loadout using the sg553.

It's spendy, if you can be pretty accurate with the AK-47 and get it's spray pattern down, then there's no need to get the SG553, plus you'd have money left for nades and/or armor after the eco rounds.

The opponents on faceit are a million times better than mm 90% of the time. You just need to invest some time to get 2000+ elo. The first 3 placement games of each month are pretty important to win though since those multiply your elo gain or loss by 4x or something. Btw everyone has elo on faceit it's just supporter or premium that can view it, some people seem to think that you just play vs random levels every time if you don't pay.

One thing about the SG is that you never really need it for anything. Players that have good aim and are confident in that aim believe they can do everything to the exact same effect for cheaper. Plus the AK's spray pattern is just easier and it's more or less ingrained into my mind at this point. I could use the SG the same amount as I have used the AK to this point and I wouldn't be as good at spraying it.

That said, I've seen a couple of SMFCs use it regularly over the AK in my recent matches, and it was effective in both cases.

My league team is going to buy nothing but SGs, that way the enemy can't get AKs. Even if they do grab an SG, they'll never be able to figure out how to pull down and left.

You failed to address that the gun was utter shit in previous versions of Counter-strike

As a result it became standard to just use AK/M4

Which is why the higher ranks, the people that have played since the older versions only use the AK/M4
