I am in gold nova 2 for a year now :v: I have 95 comp wins, I've seen many people having 45 wins and being bigger rank, how does it work?
I'm at 110 wins, Gold Nova Master I really don't mind as long as I enjoy playing the game which is the most important factor imo I feel like I learn something new every few games I play which makes me improve as a player so I don't care if it takes me ten thousand games to reach Global Elite as long as I keep improving on the way there.
Any advice for getting out of a slump? Climbed my way up to DMG, now I'm probably about to derank to MG2 and I can't even do well against nova/mg1 when i queue with nova friends. Aim just feels incredibly off. I feel like I got overconfident by doing well, got lazy, played worse, then lost all my confidence as I got even worse. Thinking about taking a week long break or something

And dont play if you feel tired of playing to many matches. But as mentioned, just play deathmatch regulary and also as warmup before jumping into mm
I really need to get headphones.. My own footsteps I can hear just fine but, plenty of times I believe I'm missing out on some pretty important sound info I guess. And own shooting sound gets really fucking loud if I wanna hear footsteps and other stuff better, like also team voice.
Fucking griefers/trolls. Want to derank other people but still stretch the game to the fullest. Doublepoints if the enemies are not realizing that they are griefing and then making fun out of our team for being bad.

Ended up steamrolling one game as the other team had 2 guys with those anti-afk scripts going, and in the next the other team forfeited after managing to kick some idiots who weren't trying (nobody wants to play with 2 bots). Feel bad for them when that shit happens.
They wont even provide a demo, oh god what a joke.

How the hell were those aimhacks? Have these people ever seen a hacker before? I have played against quite a few in matchmaking and they do not look like this. This is so hilariously incompetent. If you are running a tournament it is not even your job to look for hackers. Accusing a guy of hacking 100% when you have seen half a game without anything actually blatant happening is ridiculous. I hope these guys don't actually use overwatch. Hearing these guys talk makes it worse, they are trying to convince themselves that everything the guy does is cheating.
Nah I'm actually pretty upset about this. We've been practicing together for hours every day and I planned my entire schedule around this bullshit. The guy he mentions, Seems, that apparently had a say in the verdict is the guy streaming and he's also a player on another team in the tournament. The level of unprofessional bullshit they've shown is sad. Is there any recourse to take with this or should I just let it go and say fuck those nerds? [editline]27th June 2015[/editline] It really upset a couple of my other teammates, the guy that got accused of hacking is really bummed out and kept apologizing to us.
If boosting is done by a smurf, it's always bad. Even if that player "deserves" a higher rank. Rank doesn't really mean anything. If you're good, then you're good. You don't need a higher rank to validate that. I believe that the Matchmaking playerbase's obsession with rank holds them back from actually improving like they could.
Ranks mean nothing and you should pay little attention to them, I actually agree with you there. But if you are actually too good for silver players but not good enough to carry a team of bad players then you reach an impasse where you just get stuck in limbo. I mean we helped a friend out of silver but we didn't carry him, he subbed into our 5 man and pulled his own weight, listened to comms, provided the intel we needed and applied pop flashes and smokes that he'd learned before hand and actually saw them have an effect. I can sympathize with players who fall into the 'stuck' category, especially as i knew one. who was punching at MG level when we bough him on board, imagine being a MG player stuck playing with and against silvers, it'll kill your enjoyment. Was solid DMG for like 30-40 matches, did well enough, then suddenly something broke and now I'm on a 15 loss streak. Deranked to MGE and I still can't win a game.

Here is just one of my typical games, as you can see sometimes my aim is absolute shit and I fail even where it was simple kill.
One thing I felt I should mention, if you win the pistol round, but an SMG or a shotgun. In some cases the other team won't have helmets and you can get some easy money off of the 2nd and 3rd round. Even if they do have a helmet, they'll be moving around while shooting their pistols, so hitting them with ak/m4 will be a bit harder than just spraying them down with a mp7 or whatever. Second point, your crosshair should always be at head level, it helps you a lot to not have to move it up and down when aiming at someone. Thirdly, try to never move when shooting and learn to stutter step. Get it ingrained in your fingers and you'll start getting more kills because you don't waste that tiny little bit of time stopping. I skimmed through some parts, but I saw some nice kills you got with the m4 and the ak. Despite what you said, your aim is ok, but a bit inconsistent. But that's ok. No one has perfect aim and your kills don't have to be all headshots. Everyone whiffs the easiest kills sometimes, don't worry too much about it. For now I'd recommend you play some deathmatch, practice stutter stepping and crosshair positioning. Alternate between going for one taps with the ak and getting headshots while spraying. Remember you can crouch after the first two bullets of an ak (or 3 if using m4) and you will compensate for the recoil enough to get a headshot (if you were aiming at the head). If after a few more bullets you haven't killed him (when the recoil pattern starts going sideways), don't commit any further and reposition yourself. It's probably a bit too much to apply for now, but try to recall these tips next time you're in game.
Was solo queuing Resort since it was a mission (and face it nobody likes Resort so there goes any chance of a 5-man) and thanks to that shitty map I finally ranked up to MG2. Yessss. The road to [higher ranks] continues.
Nothing you can really do, just make it heard so people know these guys can't play fair or organise a tournament.
Yeah whenever these guys get mentioned I will throw a comment out there, it is bad when something that didn't even happen to me can make me this upset.
I just played with a friend and three of his friends and we got crushed 14-0 before combacking to 14-14 but then lost 16-14 :( Scoreboard: http://gyazo.com/e3cd021117fc05fb5cd3bcefb4fc76e3
Guys, how do I change custom skin stats? :v: Apparently we can do that.
Wow mouz stepping it up, they played amazing against VP.
Don't know if it was mouz playing extremely well or VP playing badly, but yeah it was a very close match; lots of good clutches, was fun.
Just had a game where we won 8rounds in a row and the enemy team was just shit. Then their smurf toggles wh and starts to prefire, preaim and shoot through walls. fuck them
Either he truly was a smurf who just didn't tryhard since he played with friends, or he wasn't a smurf to begin with [editline]28th June 2015[/editline] To add on what John Madden said, you should play arena. That shit's amazing for practicing angles, stutter stepping and reacting fast
After much testing I have found that Bots with a Zeus will treat it as a ranged weapon. So if sv_infinite_ammo is set to 1, you just have a ton of bots standing at the opposite end of the map zapping at each other uselessly.
Smurfs are such pathetic losers. Can't match against their own rank so they go and pick off lower ranks for enjoyment. Just played a mirage competative against smurf, guy had 20 hours on record and 1 game and level 1 steam acc. He started literally wiping everyone out in seconds. Such cunt. Funny part? - We still won with 14-16, bastard must feel so devastated by losing to lower ranks.

[editline]28th June 2015[/editline] His fun was in smashing your team, not in winning. Losing 16-14 or drawing 15-15 is optimal for him because he doesnt get win cooldown and he gets the most rounds of scrub smashing per game.

You'l have superios aim and gameknowledge but you still can't aim everywhere at the same time. If you get overrun by multiple people you might still get killed even though you would beat them easily in 1v1
I feel like every game I had for the past 25~ games had smurfers or hackers or boosters, it gets so annoying when they are "showing off" about it too. Seriously, I just want 1 game where I can't get angry and have fun, yet the community always ruins that.
Usually people who show off their hacks are not hacking. You are just mentally attacked by them and play even worse / give up, because you think you can't win. Team morale has incredibly strong effect in csgo. Me or my friends got called hackers a couple of times in competitive, but what can you do? Calmly explain to enemies that they simply suck? Might even be a good thing to make them think they lost to hackers instead.
