So o have a question about ranks images, it seems my dmg logo is allot more 'gold' then the one of a friend of mine. Does this mean I close to ranking up perhaps? Or am I just going insane?

Every play I make is retarded and they somehow fucking work.

Some guy'll go "OKAY LET'S ALL RUSH B" on Dust2 and I go "fuck that I'm going to sit at the doors mid because after you make a ruckus B nobody'll be watching that shit" and bam, at least two people dead because they rotated B through CT spawn without checking corners, and a possible kill from a guy cat if he decided to go mid afterwards instead of lower.

The reason it's retarded is because I'm one guy and there's totally going to be two people at least pushing so this entirely relies on their incompetence :v:

That's not retarded though? Catching rotators is a completely valid maneuver in csgo.

That's called lurking and honestly not that stupid, pants on head stupid is standing somewhere which is logically suicidal, yet because it's such an unorthodox position it can work. Standing on a box instead of behind it in a common preaim / prefire spot for example. Incredibly high risk, so high that players often dismiss the idea of you doing it.

Yeah, but I still have to push out through the doors and hope there's no awper that decided that his buddies might have B held because otherwise I'm probably fucked if I walk out with an AK and he's already zoomed in on me. I 4-manned and our pubby was being an asshole like that for two rounds, so we steamchatted an organized "kick last round because this dude's a fucking dick holy shit," but on the third round he threatened to go AFK, so we just kicked him then instead and still fucking won.

It was such a good feeling. Shoutout to BOT Ferris, actually made a few good buys believe it or not.

Just solo queued with some randoms vs a 5 man premade. They won the first 7 rounds in a row and had the typical idiot on our team spamming 'gg', 'noob team' etc.

After he calmed his tits and we used some actual teamwork we ended up winning 16-11.

I think about 5 or 6 of those rounds were the wall of smokes (mirage). I love that all of us knew one smoke each so between us we had one good A strat :v:

I think it auto adjusts FOV.
On this pic, I used my 1920x1080 and 2560x1080 monitors to take screenshot from same position facing specific direction.

The extra parts I see on 21:9 are blacked out.

Vertical FOV is locked in CSGO, because of this it automatically adjusts horizontal.
The only FOV you can change in CSGO is viewmodel, you can't change viewport FOV.

The extra fov is barely useful either most of the time. If you're holding somewhere and you NEED that extra 10 degrees of horizontal vision to see something then you should hold from a better position.

Currently the best player in the world uses it, its all personal preference. Personally id rather have more fov than bigger player models or whatever native rez for prez
