Well supposedly you should only crouch at range for the faster accuracy, no point in crouching if the enemy is close enough that you'll crouch your head into his spray.

And in my experience I've had more success killing than getting killed when crouching.

But then again I'm a rank 3 noob so what do I know.

Niko is a sick player but last I checked there was a huge language barrier between him and the people he played with. Mousesports was able to utilize him by using LEGIJA (?) as a translator. If he could speak decent English he'd probably have found a good home in a good team a long time ago. I could be wrong about a lot of that, but that was my understanding as to why he isn't crushing other top teams right now.

Very late on the topic cause I haven't been home, but anyways the 16:9 4:3 topic is so biased lol. The "evidence" people show for 4:3 being superior is that the models are wider. But your FOV is really restricted. Comparison image:

Just pulled the first one I found off Google but that's pretty much it as far as I know. Sure your beloved targets are "larger" but you can see less. So you might hit the one guy infront of you easier but you won't see the flankers at all

I hate to be one of those people who says its all preference but it really is.

I prefer 4:3 because I'm highly better at one taps b/c I feel like I have more control over my aim and I feel like the enemy is bigger/easier to aim at.

I rarely solo Q, I always usually play with a few friends which in result pretty much negates the few inches it cuts off because my team mates are covering one spot when I'm covering the other. That leaves blind spots covered and if you're good you'll be able to handle it.

I know for a fact there is no way I could get my usual pistol one taps on a full resolution.

I played on a FFA Pistola Server at a 4:3 stretched resolution (1024x768 or something) and found it really easy to score long range headshots more consistently.

Didn't keep the resolution because everything looks like blurry ass, especially on dusty Dust2.

Switching back to 1920x1080 after a half hour of 1024x768, everything on 16:9 seemed really narrow and tall, it was so weird.

Objectively a bigger resolution. I mean that ultimately it's up to your personal preference, but if you like both the same 16:9 wins Within limits ofc.

And before anyone says "pros use 4:3" its because they've been playing since 1.6 and 4:3 was the norm back then

If you're completely new to the game, with no bias whatsoever, I'd say 16:9, if you're not used to 4:3 and shit.

I mean, you see models wider on 4:3 stretched, but you see walls wider too, why don't pros just play on ultra wide monitors and stretch 4:3 to them, then the models would look SUPER wide, so easy to headshot :downs:

Olaf, arguably the best csgo player right now, uses 4:3 with black borders.

i think it's safe to say its just preference.
Unless you struggle with positioning yourself. Then you should use 16:9

I'm 99% sure if you spec olaf, his positioning would be almost very perfect that 4:3 would be fine for him

Niko's english is pretty good, it is exactly the fault of gob wanting to call in another language that causes a barrier. You'd have thought they'd try to work around it but using a translator ingame means calling stuff twice which just confuses shit up. Let him go already if the leader can't understand they need to change how they call so all the players understand.
