Funny story related to this.
I soloqueued a while back and got into a game against a 5 man with 4 russians in my team. While communication wasn't best (I was able to understand them/communicate with them a bit, because Russians isn't too far from Polish ), we won 16-0.

EnVy is nuts on Cache. That, Dust2, and (to a lesser extent) Inferno are their go to maps.

TSM is widely regarded as a top 2 team in the world. Lots of people have them at 1. Inferno is a strong map for them. Literally Fnatic is the only team they wouldn't be favored against.

Win 8 games straight, most against higher ranked opponents. 1st or 2nd on each team for 6 of those games. No rank up.

Lose 2 games against lower ranked opponents (top fragged for my team in both games), then play a 3rd game and just middle of the road it, tho did score a nice clutch ace.

my aim was generally dogshit when i wasn't holding an angle, game sense and timing was off and was generally carried a bit. I blame the weather. And yet it decided to rank me back up to MGE. Unfortunately the enitre enemy team save for 2 guys team killed disconnected in the last rd for team killing so i have no idea what the ranks were but the 2 guys left were DMG and MGE.

Well i ain't complaining.
