So I'm well versed in shooty games but have little first hand experience with CS (40 hours of non deathrun playtime in CS:S and all of it was botmatches is what I have under my belt) and I've been getting into it lately Any high level tips/mechanics/things I should know, or do I just need to get better at point and click to get shat on less?
shoot your enemies until they die to death
I found two sound files recently, named point_captured_ct.wav and point_captured_t.wav in the sound/music folder within the vpk files. They sound very similar to the deathmatch revenge sounds, but with a twist at the end. I have never heard of either sounds being played in game, anyone know if they're currently used at all, or what they can potentially be used for? You needed to capture all three in order to win iirc.
Do you have any videos/sources for that tutorial?
I haven't heard of an official tutorial but there are these custom gamemode example maps they provide.
Anyone see the new CSGO community server rules they are trying to force on us? https://www.mail-archive.com/csgo_servers@list.valvesoftware.com/msg11235.html They already forced alliedmoders to remove mulitple plugins https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=258753 https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=261288 https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=234536 In my opinion it's another load of horseshit us server owners have to deal with just for valve to try to make a few more bucks (even though it won't have any significant difference in profit)
Yeah no fuck off valve, you know well enough you aren't going to stop anyone. This is super bullshit. If nobody can find a mirror of removed plugins i'll just recreate them [editline]8th July 2015[/editline] Oh those plugins still have the source uploaded, just compile them to use them
Speaking of buying strategies, should I go for full Kevlar or skip helmet on CT side?

If your economy isnt very strong, and you know the T's have full buy, then id say you should skip the helmet.
you can skip the helmet most of the time because everyone uses ak anyway.
In most cases thats true, but if you saw some T's playing spots with a P90 a couple of rounds, you should think about buying that helmet.

Found these old clips again and thought I'd upload them for you guys, oh how fun it was back in LE-LEM.

I hate playing competitive when two people of same clan join my team. You either get two idiots or two decent players. I've ever encountered where two clan members one would be shit and one would be good, its' either one or another. I am thinking of creating another steam account and buying CS GO for it, not for any kind of smurfing (especially considering I am only nova 3) but rather for drops. I mean essentially it's basically twice the drops per week. Anybody does that?
While were at talking about bad clans, yesterday I had this match. Those 3 players under Plaster(Wall Coating) were in same clan, they absolutely didnt communicate and they were MG1-MG2. For the most of match they had 8 kills. They woudn't use chat too. Me and plaster were basically carring them, but we've still lost. Enemy team was MG1-MGE mixed. I joined a tournament with my friends and we are against a French team "Pulse Gaming" They have sponsors and shit and were just few random guys who joined the tournament for fun

And i dislike most new maps aswell.

What tournament is this?
Assembly in Finland i think. (Hey even Get_Right is attending so it's not terrible)
wow so esea fucktards/egofilled shitheads are now flooding cevo too
Okay our first match was against swedish semi-pros that had 3k hours in CSGO and 1.6 each. Makes me wonder how much do you have to play so you know where and when and how to shoot through smokes to get headshots and how to become immune to flashbangs.
About 1000 hours I'd say. I play almost exclusively Dust 2 [del]donthatemeplz[/del]and I've only just developed enough gamesense to be able to align myself to shoot at common spots even while smoked out and also be able to get a sense of when flashbangs will appear, and where to look out for them in my peripheral vision. I have 880 hours on record at the moment, and that's mainly on one map. However, I will say that the skills are easily transferable between maps, now that I've got that whole aiming thing under my belt.
i used to be getting headshots left and right with the ak, now i'm suddenly a potato with it
Anyone here use a mouse bungee? Could you tell me if it helps with your aim at all or if it's just something that keeps the wire in control.
Just won a 16-14 game with a bot from round 5 and 1 guy muted from round 2 because he refused to play with "snobby tea drinkers" and did team damage/blocking on purpose the whole game It's these victories that make me love cs Note to self, don't play Dust 2 ever again
