I had mine inactive for a month before my MGE rank went AWOL, i then lost 1 game on my return, drew 1 then won 1 to display it again and as a result I'd deranked to MG1. However there was a vac wave in that time so it was likely recalibration.

In order to avoid getting insulted or degraded by Russians, I usually have to start speaking in Russian with them, then they shut up.

It seems each of these eastern europeans think their country is best and look down on all other players who are not of the same nationality basically.

At first you want to play a lot of DM and 1v1 arena servers in order to improve your aim, as that will be the main thing carrying you in the beginning. You will probably be stomped on constantly, but if you continue playing DM and improving you will soon have pretty good DM. After that you can either dive straight in or you can watch some streams or games in order to get a bit of an understanding on the metagame.

Don't get too discouraged from it, I rubberbanded between MGE and MG1 so much at one point that I actually gave up on the game for a month.

Came back and now I'm rocking at SMFC after many hours of training and playing.
