On a side note, am I the only one still really irked with the m4a1 nerf? It just feels so forced.

Yes, people rank up and derank all the time outside of the game as and when hackers get banned.
But we have no idea how many games back it goes.

For one. Anders, you know the person Thorin has been cutting off constantly so far so he's had little chance to actually get a words in edge ways?
Semmler is also pretty decent but he's much better at casting than analysing matches, Pansey also is quite good at analysing but has such a negative following because "grill" "stfu" and so on. DDK is also not that bad but again, he's better as a caster than analysing.
Then you have the likes of HenryG and Sadokist who should just stick to casting or being the host because they are much better at doing those roles.
Eitherway I really, would prefer if he'd stop getting invited to tournaments, his "banter" mostly dissolves into blunt ham fisted jokes or outright insulting.
He does do some nice analysing but when he forces his way into the conversations to blunt out something about a team or players then continue to dominate the conversation by storming off, there are times I'd rather hear what the others on the desk would like to say before he cuts them off.
Also his jokes are not what I'd really consider jokes, I can take some light hearted jokes about a teams performance but most of the time he comes off as just insulting, plus he's even outright used childish insults as a joke of which I'd wouldn't expect from a major tournament. He's also previously straight up left an implication that a player "blew someone" to get on the team, didn't even lay it in as joke, just pushed it in as an implication and left it at that. Then there's the whole fiasco that happened at DHS '15 where he really annoyed get_right and the rest of NiP which in the end resulted in a case of damage control from get_right because people saw it literally, in the way he actually intended to be honest.
He needs to lay off on the defamatory commentary and dry "jokes", stick to analysing which he's actually really good at and stop barging in when someone else is talking. Or just have someone to give him the hint of where he's taking stuff too far instead of them all just looking around awkwardly and playing off forced laughter.
Thorin is a good analyst but he's so cringy and a bull in a china shop at times.

Been winning whole day, like 7 wins, ranked up etc...
Then it went all to shit towards evening, lost 4 games in a row.
What changed? All my friends who I play with are inconsistent as fuck, some may play once a day, some may not play at all for days, so I had to queue for MM with 1 friend, and we kept getting random idiots on team.
In one game, was playing with French kids who kept talking French about random fucking bullshit in game, in end of game I complained about it.
Next game: I get steam invitations, the fucking french chased me and kept going on about fuck even knows what, I still have no idea what that was about.

Where do I find consistent players? Who would literally play Every evening few games, then almost whole day on weekends?

Well I usually take 30 min break between every 3 wins.
So I did, but still it went to shit for some reason.
Every game I've played today has said Aztec until I spawn... Wat.
I love the SG more the more I use it. Having an accurate gun and not having to worry about probability bullshit lets you pull things off so smoothly.
I just played some 1v1 arena to warm up and tried the A1 for the first time since the nerf. The lower RoF is absolutely no issue at all in those medium to long range engagements where you have cover. You just either instantly land the headshot and kill them before they can react or you pop in and out of cover firing a few bullets at a time and I think I lost once with it the whole map (there were a few pistol losses in there but I believe only one rifle round). Against people who were able to hold me to something like 14-12 the previous map when I was using the AK.
Obviously the A1 is worse up close and the A4 has become the more versatile option but the A1 is still effective in it's role as a marksman rifle. The update just helps define that role and give some spotlight to the A4 as a rifle for more aggressive minded CTs. I don't think Valve needs to revert any balance changes they made to it and I'm happy that they chose a good approach to creating viability between the rifles while not nerfing one into oblivion. The update might weaken the CT side as a whole but I don't see it doing much in the way of that and I don't see it as a bad thing if it does.
Disclaimer: I'm normally an A4 user and outside of 1v1s I'd probably not be able to make good use of the A1 because my playstyle suited the A4 even before the nerf. It might be worse in actual game situations than it seems like it should be to me.

I might just be the most easily-affected-by-placebo player ever. I've completely switched away from the M4A1S because if I buy it I can't do shit with it but every time I'm forced to pick one up I do amazing with it.

I really hate when people do that. I ask people to talk in english, but since it's usually russians i end up with they don't know how to. (I'm the only one from my friends who understand russian, so unless i play solo i don't even tell anyone i understand russian.
Anyway you could have just asked them to talk in english. Worst thing really is how sometimes a group of russians keep talking in russian and only give info in russian and to other russian mates. Then they put all the blame on you when things go bad not understanding how you can't do much with 0 communication essentially.

My team lost a match because one of our players had to play with 180 ping from shitty routing, lpkane assfucked every single one of us
i feel like like ranks should be pulled down and new ranks added. Seems like everyone is somewhat high rank unless you're really bad. It doesn't take much time at all to rank up either.

The players in GE really aren't of the caliber you'd expect for the highest rank in the game.

I had that knife, I actually liked it a lot.

I was on a winstreak carrying and shit and now this game is happening and it feels like absolute dogshit.
If I rank off this game (have 0 kills, literally doing nothing) im going to feel soooo bad.
Well atleast I got them to win a round by killing second teamate and not diffusing.

Go to his steam community page, then hit more, then report violation, then click suspected hijacker or phisher, then write down that he could have been hijacked. Though He probably won't be able to avoid the VAC ban however.
