Got 2 aces in the first 8 rounds of a game with friends :D
well dang
The fucking nerve of some people is literally unbelievable. Two people on my team queued together don't have comms on "because people are being rude". They didn't even know we were ever talking to them in the first place. Then, after it actually starts costing us the game because they're not talking to us and we can't talk to them, every time one of them would do something like get the last kill of the round they'd shoot off in chat "good thing i had comms on lol". Holy fuck I hope these people get their Steam account hacked and VAC banned.

[editline]23rd September 2015[/editline] Introduced a friend into CS GO, he never played it before. Told him all tricks/tips I know. He was put into Gold Nova 3. This is Gold Nova 3 these days in a nutshell:

[t]http://i.imgur.com/jJmrG1T.png[/t] The climb from lem was about as long as the one from the dmg hell, playing against better players now which is fun though.
Another moan about the bloodhound missions so skip if you're not interested. Got the gold coin skipped most of the comp games and stuck the pure casual ones. Annoyed the hell out of me, Score $1 million in casual games as a T player, OK it'll take ages but fair enough i can handle casual in small doses using SMG's and Shotguns. Except the joke is that I Join endless servers of DE where T side is full forcing me to play CT or leave. I then unlock the CT version of the mission and then get nothing but Hostage rescue missions where the CT side is full. Not once did i get a server when i got to defend and I'd need to join about 5 different servers before i could actually notch up any progress (not counting re rolling the same server 2 or 3 times over). And do you know the really annoying part? All this damn agro could be avoided if you could just pick the mission while in the server. So if I'm forced to play the wrong side i can do their mission instead. / rant over

Don't a lot of people say that LEM-Global players are basically the same?
Don't a lot of people say that LEM-Global players are basically the same?
Depends, LEM is the rank that Global's smurf at for a decent game without hackers. A legit LEM against a Smurf LEM is a non contest.
So, after a few months away from CS I come back to reduced functionality and more pointless frills. Fuck you Valve.
Reduced functionality? Are you talking about random FPS drops?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/m1X4BMy.png[/t] im so close
Reduced functionality? Are you talking about random FPS drops?
I assume "a few months" means before Bloodhound so Lvl 3 restriction
Glad I impulse bought a Fire Serpent after the Howl skyrocketed out of my price range, gone up $100 NZD in a week. Price is unstable as fuck though, but cheapest on the market are $515 now and bought mine for $404.
I hope the M4A1-S skins go back up. I've been buying them way cheaper than usual in the hope that they go up again
MM is becomming unplayable again at Global, I'm on my 8th loss in a row.
The day after I post this there's a big VAC wave and I win 5 games in a row.
SMFC-Global is a trash can there I said it

No idea why its suddenly rising, but I'm not complaining.
How is it possible that a group of people (was put in a team with a 4 man premade) can get to LEM and play like silvers? Like I'm talking total lack of spray control, inability to hear footsteps and change your movement/call it to teammates, no understanding that you shouldn't take pointless fights when the bomb has been planted and that it's more beneficial to run down the timer before taking the aim duel, etc etc etc We lost 3 rounds due to 1 guy continually making the same mistake, being in a position to just plant the bomb and run down the clock but instead he decides to run out of the bombsite and go for the kills No communication from any of them, I stopped communicating after half time because it wasn't worth the effort and instead just tried my best before the game ended 16-6 I'm not blaming it entirely on them, I found myself in clutch situations where I just wasn't aiming properly and lost the round to it, but there's only so much you can do when you've got absolutely no information other than trying to keep track of sounds and radar blips all by yourself. On my alt account I've been playing with my mg1-dmg mates that quite often fuck up aiming but tactically have the minds of higher ranks simply because they actually listen and shout out where they died, what gun they were killed with, how much damage they did and where the enemy is running on the deathcam I'm not too mad I'll just find a few people to queue with before I play on this account again, but something really really needs to be done about the ranks. Solo queue has always been bad but it's at a new low at the moment honestly. There's enough people that play cs to turn each of the current ranks into 2 or 3 ranks (LE splits into LE 1, LE 2, LE 3 and then LEM 1,2,3 etc)and put people into those ranks based on their current ELO. I'd be much happier waiting 2 to 5 minutes to find a game and then actually get put with people my skill level.
MM at this point is in no way a proper representation of actual skill because that's something that could never exist, one, because people are just way too inconsistent and this is rarely every reflected in a given rank, and two, because of the fact that people can be carried to a rank but literally have no knowledge of weapon sprays, basic map tactics and proper movement, which again cannot really be represented in rank since a person can have incredible spray control but no map awareness or proper understanding of movement and be at a ''high rank'' while a person who has all of these is stuck at around MGE but plays against actually good players who can out-aim. putting more ranks into the game would just make having a rank feel useless if you're starting at silver 4, and then realizing there's around 40 more ranks before people would consider you good
Except if you have any gamesense at all it will carry you to at least lem. Same for having a vauge ability to aim. What they actually need to do is stick a couple ranks above global and make mm not shit so that good players actually play on it. [editline]24th September 2015[/editline] Also why should we protect people from the reality that they're shit?
putting more ranks into the game would just make having a rank feel useless if you're starting at silver 4, and then realizing there's around 40 more ranks before people would consider you good
Well, there's always the motivation of wanting to get better at the game, but that will never come in Solo Q. Starting at a low rank like Silver 4 and reaching a goal like MG1 with a large stack of friends (3-5) will motivate not only you, but your friends to reach a higher milestone. No matter how large the skill gap is from the top players, you are slowly but steadily climbing by learning the deep mechanics of the game. You don't get artificially carried from a booster; you and your friends are all learning together but are also increasing skills in communication and teamwork. I started playing 10 months ago, and calibrated into Silver 1. Started playing with friends in Silver Elite. I had experience with 1.6 for a long time in my early teens, but I was very oblivious of things such as counter-strafing or recoil control. I'm now LE and still have a long way to go but I know for a fact that I have a massive improvement over the last year I've been playing this game.

Also nobody at mge has good aim. I've smurfed there enough to know that even the people who smurf at that rank have shit aim. Literally I have dropped 30/40 bombs on 5 stacks who are trying to smurf at mg ranks whilst boosting accounts. If you're getting out aimed by mges then you are bad.

Ranked silver 3 back then. (After like 40 games for the 10 wins) i reached DMG yesterday. We usually play as 4 or 5 player premade. We where at the same ranks all the time and ranked up together. But since MG1 we got spread. One of us sticked to mg1. One is mg2 and one mge player. I fequently play with friends that are LEM and surpreme and i always get a KD above 1 and beeing 4th-2nd in the scoreboard (doesn't say much i know) At first my motivation was to reach at least nova 1 and the 150 wins for Overwatch. Now I'm DMG with 83 wins. Beeing in silver rank and really having no clue about how to play the game right, gold nova seemed so faw away and hard to reach. We really got reked back in the silver days. But after nearly a year we really got better and better.

C'mon, i see peoples getting like 10 euros weapons at the end of the game and the best weapon i had in 900 hours is a fucking 0.30 euros weapons. This game hates me.

Just a question: Is it OKAY to risk a force buy after a lost first round (armor pen. pistols with kev and maybe a smoke/flash) or would it be better to just outright save?
