That feeling when smashing a team on zoo and then at 7 - 2 their top fragger toggles on his aimbot and proceeds to running 1 shot everyone. Boosting for £15 on zoo... :v:
I haven't won a single match today due to smurfs. I'ts real irritating to get stomped on by a dude going 32 and 4 by the end the match, and for him to go "gg 2 ez". I don't usually mind smurfs but it gets my blood boiling when they rub it in.
Does anyone know the breakdown of percentages of people at each rank? I just did my placements and got into Nova 2 but I have no idea what that really means. In starcraft 2 if you were Platnium it was the 4th highest rank or something but was in the top 7-8% of the playerbase. Does CS:GO do something similar?
cs:go doesn't go by traditional elo/rank systems where you get x points for win/lose. It's a bit more complicated than that and also during placements it deliberately places you in high ranks in order to see how good you are. anyway, as far as I know, nova 2 is very average. Personally I didn't even start competitive until I had 100 hours of casual. Coming from someone who played 1.6 (and CZ) and CS:S but never played either much with real people and hence sucked.
So I accidentally bought 10 falchion keys not knowing that only regular case keys can be bet on csgolounge. Can anyone trade falchion for CS:GO case keys, or direct me where I can trade keys for keys?
/r/GlobalOffensiveTrade is your best bet. Key swapping is common there and vanilla keys are relatively unliked. Shouldn't be too hard.
Nova 2 is somewhere in the bottom 50% of the playerbase.
and you know this how?
I'm going to so regret this... But I sold my TF2 stuff and got this!
Fucking hell, got a cooldown because my drivers or something crashed (Which isn't a big problem), restart PC and steam verifies it files for fucking 10 minutes. Thanks, didn't want to play for another week anyway.
I'm really happy with my aim at the moment with basically all rifles its just I seem to always suck on anything pistol related, especially the p250. Is this just a mental thing or is there like pistol round servers I can train on?
hey its me ur brother
hey its the internet telling you the joke was funny the first 50 times someone said it
I'm currently having issues watching friends games... It tries to connect but then I get the connection failed after 10 retries, for every game I try to watch... How do I solve this?

woo nova 4, just got nova 3 yesterday. i'm fucking blazing this trail.
and you know this how?
We know 2 things about the csgo ranking distribution: the 50th percentile is directly between gn3/4 and dmg is the top 10%. From this we know a gn2 is somewhere in the bottom 50%.
How much did the ESL event stickers cost last time?
I'm currently having issues watching friends games... It tries to connect but then I get the connection failed after 10 retries, for every game I try to watch... How do I solve this?
Don't use Matchmaking Server Picker, unlock all servers and try again.
Assuming standard bell curve distribution, Global would be around 0,5%, same with Silver I.
So Nova 3 is average? Holy shit, I'm above average in something... just.
Fucking sucks when i have to abandon because my mouse broke
People who play more tend to have a higher rank. There has to be more lower ranked players to make up for matchmaking wait times. Average for active players is probably like DMG or something.
Thanks for shooting me down mate.

Like in Lol (at least the last time I played it) you couldn't duoq with someone outside of one league of you to prevent really lopsided matches since at a certain point one person can just win the game for the team. Yesterday I played a match where some very high ranked player queued with his wood league friend and ended up at my level. The wood leaguer barely did anything and his friend just steamrolled us. It wasn't fun for my team and I can't imagine it was fun for the other team beyond getting a free win. Seems like there ought to be a way to cut down on that.

I'm probably in the minority with my thinking here but honestly, even with the ranking shit being so awful to me, Valve seems to encourage smurfing because of how difficult they've made it to play with people in certain situations. I shouldn't have to go to community servers like the olden days, or play around in god forbid, the cesspool that is casual mm to play with someone from school. Smurfs will happen regardless, those that are hellbent on smurfing will smurf no matter what you do to stop them, but I shouldn't be spending extra money on an account because my friend sucks. Smurfing wouldn't be such an issue if smurfs just tossed themselves down to a lower rank in skill and acted like a lower rank player, but ego stroking will win over everything else.
this is pre-mosthackersbeingbanned
Honestly, this doesn't seem far off at all even compared to today's standard. After hackers gets banned, new players are starting to fill in the slots of the previous hackers, and they shuffle around until everyone's at the appropriate ranks again.

If added it makes it simple, anyone who smurfs is just a cunt. Not only that an unranked competetive mode would be handy and easy way to train strats.

That probably puts more stress on their servers for sure, and who even knows if enough people will play it to make it worthwhile? Valve has a history of taking the easy way out of problems (This smurfing issue is one thing) that end up fucking things up more than making them better. I still see just as many smurfs even with the measures they put it place. It's a problem that will happen regardless, even with unranked competitive as I imagine you've got to have some sort of "hidden" rank for the matchmaking to work properly.

And as no one will have any obligation to stay in a game it'd make rolfstomping nubs hard because they'd just leave and find another match. Never gonna happen though.
windows [sp]fucking[/sp] 10 decided it was [sp]fucking[/sp] time for a [sp]fucking[/sp] update and [sp]fucking[/sp] rebooted my pc in the middle of a [sp]fucking[/sp] match. Sorry, had to vent. we won the round while I was installing the updates, no ban thank fuck.
