We can't really control what people do with their servers, if they have a voteban/votekick plugin.
Not blaming you for it in the slightest, if anything I blame the admins (or rather the lack of admins) on the server in question.

done.
Oh and this:

A quick update, we have 2 new mappers (yeah, why have 1 great mapper if you can have 2?): Radu_iceman and HoliestCow.
I am quite interested in a Level Design position. It be great to work on SF again (I used to work on it back in the day when KG and Bob were around and stuff.)
Even if you have the level design pos filled, I'd be interested in doing shaders/models/particles/general effects. Though I'd love to create a map or two regardless. My portfolio is here: https://geardev.wordpress.com/

Your work on city 17 is really impressive, I've been tracking that mod for a long time.
Awesome. You should post updates about this in WAYWO.
Since it sounds like you're separating the mod from the HL universe completely, will there be an equivalent to the gravity gun/grenade punting in this sequel? I recall it being a big part of the mod.

for sure, but it will be using a new model as we're going for a total conversion game.
'Dynamic' props for some maps would also be awesome, like the blocks that pushed you away from sf_cyberwarfare_v2.
sourcefarts was fun i enjoy being blown up by nade launchers every 2 secsd
Is this going to be a standalone game?
Will it be free?
Is this going to be a standalone game?
Yes - we'll be pursuing a full Source license for SF2.

Will you be charging for the game though? And if so, how much?
Will you be charging for the game though? And if so, how much?
we're not sure how much will be probably between $10 and $20, like any other Source-based indie games. But again, it will all depend on if we get a license or not.

Doesn't a Source license cost a shitton of money
Doesn't a Source license cost a shitton of money
we don't know for sure as every team that got a license are under NDA, but we have a really rough estimate.
For an incredibly simple game like this, it's debatable whether it's worth the money for a source engine licence when It could be made from scratch within a reasonable time frame without sacrificing quality.
I'm not saying this is what you should do, but just throwing a valid option out there incase there's complications with buying a license.

Also, it's a v2, it'll probably be more advanced than v1.
Incredibly simple is far from a bad thing, it's good.
I'd happily pay money for sourceforts.
We plan on having several gamemodes, including the classical 1.9.x one. Also it will be a total conversion, so no more rebels/combines.
I really wish you good luck on on getting an engine licence since it will probably cost quite a bit of money for one.
Tobad source forts died, i am currently playing fort wars 2 in gmod, which has alot of cool stuff.
I remember having loads of fun on this mod, its a shame it was rather short lived but it was still popular in its day!
How about we go play SourceForts v1.9.2(?) again while waiting for v2?
How about we go play SourceForts v1.9.2(?) again while waiting for v2?
1.9.4.1 is the latest version but yeah, 192 was probably the most popular version
How about we go play SourceForts v1.9.2(?) again while waiting for v2?
That would be awesome, I haven't played it with more than 4 people for like 5 years now.

Will wall constructing be similar to the mod with the gravity gun or will be it casualized?
Will wall constructing be similar to the mod with the gravity gun or will be it casualized?
we have a casualized buildgun implemented already, on of the programmers is working on the old 1.9.x gravgun. people should be able to choose which buidgun they want to use.
