I loved some of the really basic base defenses that people came up with, grenade cannons being the main one.
Has anyone got any IPs for Sourceforts Servers? I'e heard Steam has an issue where it cant find servers.
There's one that we know of: 95.130.64.232:27006
Nobody is on though. Maybe we should arrange some games?
Nobody is on though. Maybe we should arrange some games?
If we can get enough people interested, I can try and organize something for this weekend (and put the word out through FB/Twitter/ModDB).

Count me in. I haven't played SF in years.
Be sure to post on here because I live in the UK and i'll probably miss everything else :(
I'd play, but i thought valve broke sourcemods?
I'd play, but i thought valve broke sourcemods?
Partially. It doesn't work like it used to, but it's possible to play.
I'd play, but i thought valve broke sourcemods?
only the SSDKB2006 mods. But there are a few workarounds to make them work. We usually have "pug series" around Christmas and new-year.
I've managed to get mine working and playable on the ONE SF server (IP was posted above, wouldnt show on server list)
Did you guys release a gameplay video? I seem to remember an awesome-looking video sneak peak at some mod, not sure if it was this one. It had a bunch of new, really nice looking guns, and it was set in a huge tundra, and it might have had jetpacks.

Someone set up a server, we gotta play the first one until this comes out.
An IP was posted earlier. You have to add it as a favourite and we can!
Soo, has anything interesting happened lately? I really don't want this to die :c
Soo, has anything interesting happened lately? I really don't want this to die :c
oh hey, a lot of things have happened lately (leadership changes, etc...). We are still working on it. We just started a survey to help us know what you, the players, want SF2 to be. Here is the survey, if you have a few minutes please fill it, and don't hesitate to share it around! (We already have 147 answers) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGNXV3F0YVZWSjBCV3RSRjBta2pJRkE6MQ#gid=0 And we just posted a quick updated on Moddb.

I also had a good time super crouching and rocket trapping the ball.
Here are our textured blocks (rendered in UDK for now because it's fast and easy to import...) [t]http://www.1337upload.net/files/sf_blocks04.jpg[/t][t]http://www.1337upload.net/files/sf_blocks05.jpg[/t]
I'm afraid of this thread dying, it's gotta live
I'm afraid of this thread dying, it's gotta live
I can't post media or updates every day ;) I'll answer any question you guys have, as long as they are not too specific (I can't reveal all of our secrets).
Is there any major gameplay changes from the last SourceForts?
yep, several gamemodes, CP and CTF are what we have working atm, a few more are fully designed. One of the other things that we've done is redesign the classes, adding unique abilities so they all synergize with each other (good teamwork will increase your chances of winning matches). (So no more OP combat engineer spamming nades, or weak scout being useless)
Not a question, but having things like cannons and stuff would be fun to put on the forts. also i request new weapons
Nah, new weapons aren't needed. The game works best with minimal weapons because it places more emphasis on teams getting a good balance of classes.
Its good to see that this isn't dead. I remember having loads of fun playing SF with friends, and I hope this turns out well, just like previous one, or even better! As a mapper, I look forward to map for this, and I'd like to see some more entities on top of what HL2 already has. For example, team-filtered solid objects(like TF2 spawn protection).
Count me in!

We've fixed that, mappers will have even more freedom than before as the entities we have are more flexible. A few servers are up and some people are playing (we filled a 16 slots server a few days ago). I'm waiting till the end of the week before compiling the results of the survey (for whoever missed it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGNXV3F0YVZWSjBCV3RSRjBta2pJRkE6MQ#gid=0)

I have 1.9.4.1 and I see 2 servers with no filters, both are empty. I am GMT Timezone and assume most players are american? Need to know what time to come on and have people to play with! :D
