Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V5 - Weekly Threads - Games

So I went to see what my brother is doing on GTA (xb360), he's dressed his guy up in nothing but pink short shorts and pink sandals, chasing people on a hot pink faggio honking his truck horn at them. He doesn't kill anyone, he just follows them around relentlessly, they can't do shit cause he's abusing a godmode bug. Just trailing along behind tanks and insurgents..

Even now, I can never find jobs with people in them, I swear GTA online has always wanted me to have no fun.

I can't wait for the vehicle replacements to come in. I really, really despise how the military in GTA V drive around Jeep Wranglers with white stars on the hood. Like, any game designer can google "military jeep" and assuming they had no knowledge of military vehicles would immediately see a HUMVEE. It's what our military drives and it's the most iconic military vehicle outside of like an Abrams tank but somehow they decided a Jeep Wrangler clone was way better. I want to replace it with any humvee model and be done with it. The tanks could use replacement too, but less so than the stupid jeeps. Some of the military units are iffy looking and the SWAT guys don't seem bulky or tactical enough.

Getting half a server together for a spontaneous car show where everyone's chill and talkative is why, despite the frustration, I'm really starting to like GTAO.

Is there a invisible mode for Rockstar Social Club?

Question. Does raising your strength stat give you any more muscle mass/tone? It's always bugged me a little that my character's a beanpole.

What does postfx actually do? I turned it to the highest setting and back down to medium and didn't notice any difference except for fps

I turned it to the highest setting and back down to medium and didn't notice any difference except for fps[/QUOTE] I believe PostFX adds HDR (high), extra motion blur (high), light shafts (very high), basic DoF (very high), "true" DoF (ultra), and high-detail soft bloom (ultra) All of which are situational and won't be present at all times, and can be difficult to spot if you don't know what you're looking for.

anybody else experiencing a lot more crashes after the recent update? used to be able to play for a couple hours before it decided I needed to stop playing and crash, now I can barely play for 15 minutes

Alrighty, I got my character all set up and ready for anything in Online, despite the occaisional crashing. Got him to rank 5, bought a few weapons that I kitted out with accessories and bought some ammo for, got a nice apartment, and got myself a nice outfit (although I'm kinda upset that I can't wear a mask and a hat at the same time. Rockstar, wtf?). I feel like the preorder cash bonus made me a little OP and helped me gain access to stuff I probably wasn't supposed to, but screw it I'm here to have fun! I suppose I'll probably switch between singleplayer and online at random intervals, although I'll probably concentrate on the single-player portion at first. Anyways, I'm looking forward to going balls-deep in this game.

Like now I've turned it down to directx 10.1 even. My computer far exceeds the recommended requirements, this crashing is fucking horse shit.

Is it just me or do randoms suck at even the easy heists?

Agh, I can barely connect to sessions. Missions and jobs, no problem, but free roam either times out, is laggy as fuck, or I get D/C'd.

So I gave my brother my GTA5 installation so he doesn't have to install everything, but it keeps signing in as me, is there anything we can do to change that?

He died once during the mission, and then again at the end. [sp]At the end when we jump out of the plane, he parachuted down on top of the cliff by the beach. He face planted on the ground, but he survived. Then he decided it was a smart idea to jump off the cliff. He died. All he had to do was walk carefully down the hill and get in the helicopter! We had to do the whole mission over again because of him.[/sp] Spoiler tagged, just in case people don't want to know ANYTHING about the heists.
