get rid of it as fast as you can. rockstar will ban you for stuff like that, even if you didn't do it yourself.

Is this confirmed?

one of my friends got into a modded lobby on last gen, and some hacker was making it literally rain money, and him and everyone else got banned.
Anyone who innocently received GTA$ as a result of these exploits but did not engage in cheating to acquire it will not face any further action - the funds will just be removed, and you'll be able to keep any items you currently own.
Pretty annoying that stealth doesn't do anything in free mode.
I mean they give people cars with bulletproof glass, armored trucks with mounted MGs, buzzards with missiles and miniguns, tanks, but I guess it would be waaaaay too OP to allow somebody to go off the minimap when they are sneaking around at a snails-pace on foot.

I don't know man, I've seen a lot of threads pop up on the newswire ever since the last gen version was released with people complaining about how they got banned for receiving money from modders.

if you call lester, he can take you off the radar for a minute. probably the most useful thing in the game.
Alright guys, I did some tests and the online is absolutely fucked.
There are two servers:
Free Aim and Assisted aim.
Free Aim server is largely low pop but outside of not being able to find any players in anything that isn't a heist, there is nothing wrong with it.
Now here is where it gets REALLY fucked up.
Assisted Aim server has a much larger pop but Keyboard+Mouse is still forced to use Free Aim. The Assisted Aim only applies to gamepad players. Yes, you heard that stupid shit right.
What more, Assisted Aim server seems to force some sort of mouse acceleration so mouse movement has a delay to it on anything you do which makes aiming impossible.
Who the fuck designed this. The gameplay of this game is great but everything else is fucked on so many levels.
I found the option on my menu and its greyed out as free aim. Does that mean im always on the free aim servers without bullshit auto aim? I hope so.

It's greyed out because you need to be in SP to change it
It's greyed out because you need to be in SP to change it
Another reason which makes me wonder who the fuck designed this entire thing.

The switch system has been in place since release 2.5 years ago
Because switching sessions from a change in the settings probably would have been too much of a hassle, either from program/system side or user side idk
While you guys were talking about stuff in GTA IV, I found something familiar.

wish they could just disable this shit on the PC version when people can actually run the game
also readding animals and more NPCs to online
Eeh what? The bikes in IV were amazing, I loathe how simplified they are in V. In V it feels like the bike is just lagging left and right and it feels just so wrong. It's like playing audiosurf.
I found that playing in first-person makes bikes "feel" a bit better

what is your population variety set to?
So I apparently got extremely lucky and found an NPC driving a heavily modified Dominator, complete with chrome secondary color

That is literally how it looked when I found it, before immediately putting a tracker and insurance on it. Score.

Don't forget the Sentinel! Which i've found two of.

Asking more about it, apparently in the "enhanced" version of GTAV (PS4/XBO/PC), occasionally an NPC will spawn driving a modified variant of the car they were assigned on creation, as well as being randomly scattered about in parking lots.
I've seen a fully modded metallic brown Infernus parked near a convenience store before, and I know it wasn't a PV because there were only two other people playing with me at the time, and neither owned an Infernus.
I joined some server with a hacker in it and apparently loadsamoney was being dropped. I asked for some and he kindly gave $10M. Bought a bunch of aircraft, 2 apartments, every clothing available, and stuffs. And I dicked around with a couple of FPers. I'd rate this session 10/10.
Unfortunately I was caught in the moneybag shower and received a considerable amount of money that I promptly spent on stuff, I really hope I don't get banned.
Honestly, I really think what GTA Online was trying to do is cool and all. But it wasn't executed very well and the scale of it was really unbalanced. As far as being an MMO people invest hundreds of hours in, I just don't see it happening, sure some will but I think more people will just enjoy it as a big crazy sandbox with friends like JC2 Multiplayer Mod was.
These artificial limits and difficulties they slap on the online mod make them a grind-fest. GTA is way more fun when it's an open sandbox and you can do whatever you want. So I don't really feel like the hackers are ruining anything, minus the ones that go out of their way to grief by just killing people. But if people are just messing with the game to do fun stuff I don't blame them.

in a perfect world, everyone would use trainers and mods just for fun in online sessions. but with all that power, it's easy for people to abuse it.

In all seriousness, if they have ways to detect weirdly large amounts of money entering your account, would spending it all really do much in the way of preventing a ban?
If they wanted to ban you, I'd assume they'd just ban you. If you have that money you might as well just do whatever with it, because it doesn't really matter either way, does it? Either you're doomed or you're not.
[editline]t[/editline]
If you're really worried about your account, you might want to contact support and tell them you were given illegitimate money without consent.
They'd probably scrub the remainder and make anything you bought with it unsellable.
Why are it mostly facepunch crew members with these scripts though
Every single scripter i've seen so far is part of the facepunch crew

NPC cars have to be synced between all players on the server, so they have the car variety online set to the minimum amount (which seems to be like 4 or 5 cars) so that it doesn't negatively impact the performance of people playing the game on low-end systems
[editline]28th April 2015[/editline]
Remember the minimum specs for this game are a Core2Quad and a 9800
Had a friend help me with a machinima idea. Thank you to whoever found out where the .clip files are stored as he is going to send me his <3
there's a new way to enter the FIB building, and it's easy as hell

FAPS deep sea expedition was a success
Fucking hell, the "find a suitable getaway vehicle" is the most annoying mission, it feels so arbitrary. You need a very specific type of car, but it won't tell you what, so you have to go gambling and dodging cops until you find it. Then you need to park "somewhere" and call "someone", also doesn't tell you where or who. Fuck I'd rather it just be a generic "steal this exact car and park it in this circle over here" mission.
but he is in singleplayer
Maximize population variety and you'll be hard pressed to spot dupes.
Unless they already have that set to a very high value, in which case I dunno why that's still happening. Rockstar added the population variety slider specifically to fix that problem.
