Grass is locked on normal, shadows and MSAA aren't locked, but they return to sharp and off when you apply the settings, enhanced DOF is locked on off (No loss there, I don't like DOF anyway) Game still looks great, I am going to actually try turning my settings back up and leaving it in dx 10.1 and see if I can still run for as long as I did last night. Also going to try and force some AA through nvidia control panel.
I did some testing and found out that you can still use MSAA even though it tries to turn it off. After you apply the changes and try to close it asks you if you want to keep your changes again and just hit space for No. I'm going to run the game tonight on 10.1. I'm still confused it appears my game is locked at 60fps even though everyone says the game isn't locked... I seriously haven't seen it go above 60 fps AT ALL, ever. I'm using Geforce Experience FPS counter. I'm going to try the Steam FPS counter to see what that does... [editline]18th April 2015[/editline] Yeah Steam is doing the same thing.
how do you find user created missions? im getting sick of the same rockstar created stuff over and over
I hope they make the load times better
got the car stuck in the tunnel :/
got to the end of the Prison Break heist (bringing the buzzard to the finish) and then the one public player disconnects. i'll never complete this shit, it's not even that difficult, at least not Prison Break

ever since i tested 4k the game will just instantly drop to 2 fps whilst taking up a fuckton of CPU on any resolution. Tried installing the drivers, no avail there. ;_;
Been playing GTA Online all week. It just seems so damn buggy. My friends kept getting a bug on missions where after a restart, their screen would be stuck on a picture of their face and the only way to fix it was to kill themselves, wasting a life. Also for some reason using raw input for my mouse feels weird, like it has mouse acceleration, but if I put it on windows input it feels okay. Unless I have an extra controller plugged in, in which case it is incredibly jittery and impossible to use. On top of that, obviously seem to desync or disconnect a lot for no reason.
Probably a dumb question, but how would I go about allocating more video memory to GTA V? I know my graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6570) has 8GB of RAM, but ingame the video memory on the settings menu seems to max out at 1024MB (1GB). I'd love to be able to run the game in 1920x1080 res fullscreen, but due to this memory issue, the best I can do (with all graphical settings at their lowest which is what it defaulted to) is 1152x648 fullscreen. The default resolution that the game booted up in was 800x600 Windowed with everything set to its absolute lowest which is disappointing to me. I'd like to be able to test the limits of my system but not when the game only gives me a limit of 1024MB.

And apparently there are some mouse issues if you are using more than 60hz. Try using directinput.
Hey everyone, just bought it today for £9.94 as I had some £30 worth of reward points left on my GAME card which I spent on Steam Wallet. Would like an invite, I'm Dominic0904.
So, since I got no answer whatsoever when I asked in the last thread (not even a sarcastic one), I'll ask again here: What are some relatively low-risk ways I can start earning back all I spent? Other than flight school, because I've done everything up to low flying and after 300+ attempts with every control method I have available to me (keyboard, mouse control, controller, controller bound to Dpad, and an actual goddamn flight stick), I just can't get past that.
Was sitting playing through the Prison Break heist with 1 friend of mine and 2 random pubs each setup and we got the the finale, where you choose cuts. I decide to give myself 45% of the take, my friend 25% of the take, and the two new pubs a 15% cut. Then one of them starts bawling over the microphone complaining that he wants everyone to get 25% of the take, despite just joining my game, like an entitled little shit. Asked him to ready up or leave, and he left, requiring me to restart the whole lobby again. Some people can be right little shits.

Are there aimbots for this or am I just bad at aiming? Seems like everyone can hose me down with automatics and never miss.
Driving in first-person is incredibly awkward... Anybody who's ever played a racing game can tell something is not right when you slightly adjust the analog stick to turn the wheel and your car changes direction like a hyper-sensitive F1 car glued to the ground. I know we've been over this but damn, first person driving is just putting salt in the wound. [editline]18th April 2015[/editline] Who seriously even drives first person, ever?
I've been wanting to make this ever since the 360 version first came out :v:

The realism approach was nothing short of obnoxious in IV when it came to races or driving/chase-based missions, even the slightest touch from anything would spin you out completely. I liked how it felt in SA, and I like how it feels in V. I think sometimes fun is more important than realism, especially when you're demanding as much from a player as GTA's missions often do. [editline]t[/editline] And for the record, if the FoV was wider, I would absolutely drive in first person.

Is it possible to bind flight to an actual joystick? I tried it but I can't find any way to.
There definitly needs to be something like the Saxxys for GTa.

(R9 280x) It wasn't happening at first now whole mountains are going invisable and then this shit is happening :c
I'm literally going to buy this card tomorrow.. How's your performance otherwise? I'm hoping this isn't something that's very common.
Does anyone know what causes my game to just get stuck infront of the garage door? When going into my garage, the cutscene starts playing and then abruptly just ends and has me staring at my character again infront of the door.. I don't have any control of the character and half the times I'd need to quit out the game or having to end the game through task manager. I was doing the very first mission that introduces you to heists and when bringing Piage and her equipment back to my apartment, that shit happens. I'm having a very shitty GTAO experience so far.. And I wish people would buy some other apts, every heist I've ever joined, I've walked out that same door so many times. I've yet to walk out a door into a different street.
Quick note concerning all crew members FAPS #1 is getting to be at its player cap. Because of this, we are re-opening FAPS #2 to use as a secondary crew. DO NOT JOIN FAPS #2 IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN #1 Shotz, if you read this, please put this in the OP alongside #1: http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/facepunch2
Is there still room in FAPS 1? I sent an invite request as GoldenDragon99 yesterday.
Hey guys, does anyone know where gta v stores rendered video projects?
I honestly liked IV's driving physics a lot more. Made the cars more interesting to drive. Not to mention how fucking awful the motorcycles feel in the V. And the damage system in V doesn't help at all, the cars can be smashed all day long and driven normally with all 4 tires bent to hell. Also who thought that putting the ridiculous "car on roof = exploding car" was a good idea? That's just bullshit. So yeah, as much as I'm enjoying the game I feel like the physics have been watered down to ridiculous levels. It just feels way too bland and casual for my tastes. I'd be more than happy to see Rockstar to add something like "hardcore" physics option. I would have personally went somewhere between IV's and V physics with a little more of IV. [editline]19th April 2015[/editline] Also adding a steering sensitivity slider wouldn't hurt...
Anyone wanna grind or whatever for Vehicle mods? Racing is no fun without them.

i hope they update it to utilize the gpu more. my gpu was just above idle temp even after a few hours of playing. it seems the cpu does everything
