Well considering how bad the avarage person is at driving in this game all you have to do is not suck, really. Drafting.
It's hard not to suck when 90% of the time you're going to be in a race full of Russians and Chinese who do nothing but ram because they suck too much
It's hard not to suck when 90% of the time you're going to be in a race full of Russians and Chinese who do nothing but ram because they suck too much
It's easy to counter this sort of behaviour though, if you suspect someone you're racing is a dirty driver. [editline]19th April 2015[/editline] Also, butting in the IV vs V car handling discussion, I'm just gonna say this: GTA IV was too much, GTA V is too little. I enjoy and have mastered both, and it is true that IV had unrealistically low levels of grip and unrealistically soft suspension and V is the polar opposite, every car drives like a racing car on slicks with racing suspension. I think vehicles in V have a little too much grip and the depth of the driving suffers because of it. I think a realistic level of grip would have been a better balance. And in both games the cars have nerfed top speeds, which I don't really appreciate. In IV I could sort of understand it, I ran mods that gave the cars realistic speeds and Liberty City being as bumpy as it is, making the car lose control from too many jumps was far too easy, but in V where the roads are pretty smooth and there are looooong stretches of motorway, I don't think there's an excuse.
so i just saw how i am terrible on online, i keep teleporting and stuff. i wanna know if it's possible to fix that
Found another little oddity, this time while poking around in Simeon's office. [t]http://i.imgur.com/nCRL3ib.jpg[/t] For some reason, the text on this certificate is clearer than any of the other documents in the room, and even of the rest of the bits on the same prop. Also there are four spelling/grammar errors. That address, tho. :v:
Does anyone sometimes get a random crash with the d3dinit error?
I got to level 12 and Flak helped me with the Fleeca heist, failed at doing the hacking so he did it for me :v: Guess who's getting a Kuruma
Caught a dude using god mode in online (survived a point-blank explosion and half a clip of carbine rounds without losing any health, "eating snacks nob"). Gave him a 9000 bounty, which he went passive for, and then I hounded him across the map until I lost connection to everyone. [editline]19th April 2015[/editline] The ending moments that I witnessed was 5 different people chasing him for the bounty (while he was passive).
So does MSAA look like it does nothing to anyone else?
So does MSAA look like it does nothing to anyone else?
yea i tried maxing it out, didn't really look any different but made me lag quite a bit. i am on i5 3570k + amd hd7950, run everything on very high/high at 60fps
So does MSAA look like it does nothing to anyone else?
Use FXAA + MSAAx2 - i find the FXAA complements the art style very well. Also [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/lgIaKko.jpg[/thumb] Also does anyone elses game crash on zone-transition in multiplayer? Like rejoining worlds after missions?
Requested an invite to the crew, my R* social club name is Chuckacon.
Anyone been able to find a Futo in GTAO?
Is there a list of ammo costs in online?
Is there a way to only show job invites from crew members? I'm tired of having streams of job invitations fly at my face.
So I've gotten into this habit of joining an online session in free roam and just running around picking fights with passing players. Is this like frowned upon behavior? I don't wanna be a poor sport but it's kinda fun climbing around on the roof tops sniping people.

I absolutely love the sound design of this game, particularly the cars just the clunk of shifting, or the dull thud of a car door closing, or the way tires sound driving over dirt and gravel it all just has a kind of real tactile feel to it all, I'll drive around with the radio off just to listen to the beautifully done audio
online really pisses me off sometimes. Rarely do I ever encounter a random player who DOESN'T try to kill me. Then if I manage to kill them whilst defending myself they go on a rampage and start hunting me down with all their "buddies" calling me a loser and a faggot. Like seriously wtf is wrong with everyone? [editline]19th April 2015[/editline] Where do you guys play? I wouldn't mind joining with people who aren't assholes.
Okay, so. What's a good alternate keybinding to make flying not fucking terrible on PC? Using the keypad and WASD is the most cumbersome and difficult method of flying I've ever experienced.
I'm late as hell, but if you don't mind not being able to look around while flying, you can set your mouse to do the keypad's work in the Keyboard + Mouse tab in the options. Though if you do I'd recommend turning flight mouse centering way down.
Me and my friends played Online today for the first time. How do you play co-op missions? We don't usually want to play versus but that's all we can find. Also my Online collection [t]http://i.gyazo.com/7c6e1d32768ff3dfeca9c579a1052cca.png[/t] Also is it possible to keep from getting a million fucking invites to random heists, missions and gamemodes constantly? It's giving me some serious OCD.
Fuck online, fuck prison break. Was on the plane theft setup, and we were home free. I was nearly at the airport to land the plane and the guys took down the Vagos no problem. And then some fucker left.

Holy shit I'm dumb! I didn't read the description of the GTA V I bought and I just realized they're sending it on the 27th.. How do I skip a week?
Don't even sweat it bruh: [t]http://i.imgur.com/GjuoFwB.png[/t]
you are fucking GREAT
Speaking of hackers. The first night I played, in the tutorial race, there was a guy who was rep 99 with completely maxed out stats, with zero play time. That's totally legitimate. Also encountered an aim botter earlier today who would snap around and instantly head shot people. On the more fun side, encountered a person role playing as Golum who was giving instructions to new players and telling them not to touch his precious.
Does anyone find the npcs in multi player missions overpowered?
Does anyone find the npcs in multi player missions overpowered?
Police suffer from the same issue they suffer in singleplayer. Being OP bullet sponges with Robo-Cop accuracy and bullet resistance.
I'm late as hell, but if you don't mind not being able to look around while flying, you can set your mouse to do the keypad's work in the Keyboard + Mouse tab in the options. Played a crazy mission where I wreck cars and blow shit up for hours, and when do I finally crash? When I decide to go first person and flip someone off in a car. -_-
