Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V5 - Weekly Threads - Games

I want a mod for GTA where the cops are turned into Stormtroopers and I can get Star Wars blasters. someone out there in this universe needs to make that happen.

How are the mods for this game? Edit: I'm serious, I haven't checked up since launch day!

Don't know if its been posted, but many Rock Star Social accounts were compromised over the past 3 days from a leak on some (big surprise) Russian forum. My friend's account was stolen, taken over, friends deleted and I think the character's been deleted too from GTAO. Heres a paste bin (with-out passwords). Found the list of words you can't say in Online and oh my god the list is hilarious. I'll put them all in a pastebin soon once I figure out how to copy them all.

I lowered my game settings. Really the last thing I wanted to do, but it works My settings are: DX10.1 textures: very high everything else: high. You can still enable MSAA (and soft shadows) using tricksies, but you gotta reenable it every time you start the game. You set it to whatever you want (I use 4x, and in the nvidia control panel I have the game set to use MFAA instead of MSAA, so the control panel basically takes over the MSAA the game uses and uses a less frame rate intensive version) and hit apply, then it will set it back to off, but if you hit back out and click don't apply then it will remain on. [t]http://puu.sh/hk4k9/f46d4513fe.png[/t] The only thing you don't really get with dx10.1 is it locks the grass setting to "normal" which basically removes a shit load of grass, and you don't get tessellation. Game still looks pretty good, but not as good as we should be able to run it at. Hopefully the problem gets fixed, but for now this seems to work for me at least.

It seems like 8 out of 10 people in online fall back onto the old tired over-dressed suit style. If they're playing a female character then it's 8 out of 10 wearing denim/leather cutoff jacket, bikini, and heel combat boots.

The game's rated M, and the series has always skirted the line with AO, San Andreas' Hot Coffee controversy aside. Characters curse regularly, violence and sexual factors abound, but when the game finally gets text chat on PC.. they put in curse word censorship that specifically picks out spellings from sentences rather than word hunts. The fuck?

do the high-end apartments with the updated interiors look better than the other high-end apartments that don't have the updated interiors?

So something weird happened, while I was en-route to the docks, I passed by a construction site with a blue blip marked "Vehicle" on the map. As I went by, a cutscene triggered where a crane carrying some pipes failed and dropped them ontop of a Utility Truck, damaging it and making the driver curse. Then I was returned to gameplay where the truck was smoking. I went back afterward, but it the truck was gone. The fuck did I see?

The fuck did I see?[/QUOTE] p. sure that's a random event. when i encountered it, the pipes fell and trapped the worker, and i had to use the nearby bulldozer to lift them off before the truck exploded

Online in PC seems like it would be alot funner, mainly because now everyone can communicate with chat.

My character is wearing a red scarf, an open black leather jacket, a pink fedora, those sunglasses with pink lens, a pink t-shirt, and those miami looking running shorts. It's for the Motorcycle Club that my friend is putting together. OH, and I have a bright pink LCC Hexer.

Just had my first online game and I already met some little shit who has was hacking, this guy was instant killing me in like, one shot after I unloaded a whole mag into his head, the guy fucking sniped me with a carbine from 100m when I had full health and body armour, yet he had none and took up huge amounts of damage. The most humiliating part? He was level 11 and kept taunting me in the mic everytime he murdered me. Saying shit like "Go on, report me, go on, report me and I'll forgive you. Wow you're really mad, report me, go on." in his pre-pubescent voice Yeah I thought I'd get away from children like this when I dumped the XBOX version /serious rage
