Is it worth putting GTA V on SSD? What are your thoughts?
Im unsure really, I haven't compared it myself to a hard drive.
Rate this post agree if you want me to maybe do some benchmark videos on my SSD
What causes massive loading times in online?
Internet or HDD?
pretty sure it's rockstar's servers being unable to handle the several hundred thousands of players per day

I'm still surprised at how well they took them honestly. Nothing was down on my end and haven't had any issues connecting.
I seem to be downloading a 53mb patch... not sure if its the same one I downloaded on day 0... strange..

This.
My expectation for midnight of 13th was:
00:00 Game Unlocks.
00:20 (at best case - people with SSD's and super fast CPU's and internets) unpack game, start playing.
00:45 (Sloths come in (the rest who ended up cleaning their HDD's for decryption, including me))
01:00 (Everybody goes online after prologue)
01:05 (Everybody goes offline after servers crash)
Then people give up, go to sleep, servers somewhat function, people are unhappy, launch is shit.
I am glad that didn't go that way.

It's gotta be pretty fast compared to an HDD because I really don't want to take BF4 off my SSD to make room for GTA V.
Hey, how do you use shortcuts for Self Radio? I don't wanna move all those files onto my C drive.
I got stuck multiple times yesterday

And I got stuck when I tried to park a car in my garage, it would put me outside of my garage in/near my car unable to die or move

i cant say ive had any issues on pc, but half of the times i tried connecting on ps3 it would end in either connection failure or id end up in an empty/private server, not to mention the countless times of losing connection, and this is recent, too.
File this one under "needs further investigation/R* pls don't fix":
If you find a vehicle you like in director mode, and place it in a story character's garage, it will be there when you go back to story mode :)
Anyone wanna do any heists now?

That happens every time for me, even with different garages. It sucks.
Why is it so fucking hard to control the plane with a mouse, Jesus.
I'm doing Trevor's mission and just now I saw how retarded they made the controls for the aircraft
I will do benchmark today for GTA 5 HDD and SSD.
Basically yesterday I bought SSD just for GTA so I still have GTA installed on HDD right now.
Will record game today loading from HDD and then install it on SSD and record that.
So I steal a truck and suddently this was playing:

The game is really funny to do that on purpose.

Even so, I don't remember the others being as painful

I am trying to master flying with mouse.
I don't like switching between controller and keyboard constantly so may as well.
So my first experience with pubs and heists was not a good one. No one talked, like at all. I was typing as much as I could and asking questions and shit, but everyone was dead silent. Hell, I got in the the pilots car not realizing he had a different location than me. but instead of typing and expressing that I was doing wrong, he just got out of his car and waited for me to get out. So we played this game of me getting out, getting back in, him getting back out until I finally said fuck it and went to my car. He then fucked off to his own place...all of that could have been much simpler if he just typed it out.
Plus he gave the rest of us a 15% cut and him the rest even though he only payed 40K to get it started.

Well the launch is shit, I was pre-loading from Saturday the 11th to Monday the 13th, since it was taking so long (only got like 500mb-1 gig done with my PC on the entire time), I had to go retail, (BTW, I did try torrenting it for a faster download, but my family got pissed when they found out, oh and I paid 45 for GTA5 originally and 90 dollars Retail, it was my brothers but I had to pay for it since he didn't have the money, paid with my broken headset warranty, could have gotten a new one). Anyway so I installed it in 2 hours after I got back and my brother gave me his updated GTA5 so I didn't have to update.
It was going fine so I left it over night since it was around 10 when I finished installing GTA5.
Only got 1 gig downloaded and it turns out some files were corrupted, so I spent 2 hours installing GTA5 again, and it fixed the problem, but I had to download a 5 gig retail update, which is fucking bullshit since I paid 90 bucks for the game and it didn't get me the entire fucking game. (It was actually 5 gigs smaller).
So I left that on from Tuesday the 14th till Friday the 17th, of course I turned my pc off now and then since it was pretty much on the entire week.
Then once I thought having was all good, it had to download a 350 mb update, which took me a couple of hours, so I went to bed...I woke up in the night to use the toilet so I decided to check it...It reset, so it had to download the entire 350mb again. Thank god it didn't take that long.
BTW that was like 2 hours ago.
Then the installation failed, so I re-opened GTA5 and now the Bootstrapper is doing something, I think installing the game, and it's been going on for like half an hour.
It took me a week to get GTA5 up and running.
I should have gotten it through steam, that gets me 1mb per second while Rockstar gets me 160 per second, but mainly stays around 30-60 (sometimes 80) per second.
Too bad I didn't have the money, if only I knew my headset would break, I would have waited.
Now then, hopefully I can still make it to the first FP GTAO 5 Event, otherwise Cypher won't be too happy since he reserved some spots for me.

thug life
Is there a way to make the non Steam version of GTAV to work with the steam overlay? It just keeps crashing.
Are the download issues fixed? Found a good price on the code but don't want to be stuck in a financial and download limbo.

I don't think it's possible atm.
You can do some workarounds to make it display that you're playing but no overlay.
