(It was actually 5 gigs smaller).
So I left that on from Tuesday the 14th till Friday the 17th, of course I turned my pc off now and then since it was pretty much on the entire week.

Then once I thought having was all good, it had to download a 350 mb update, which took me a couple of hours, so I went to bed...I woke up in the night to use the toilet so I decided to check it...It reset, so it had to download the entire 350mb again. Thank god it didn't take that long.
BTW that was like 2 hours ago.
Then the installation failed, so I re-opened GTA5 and now the Bootstrapper is doing something, I think installing the game, and it's been going on for like half an hour.

It took me a week to get GTA5 up and running.
I should have gotten it through steam, that gets me 1mb per second while Rockstar gets me 160 per second, but mainly stays around 30-60 (sometimes 80) per second.

Too bad I didn't have the money, if only I knew my headset would break, I would have waited.

the editor mode is part of director mode, so i guess not.

Yeah, I mean my brother was going to buy it retail anyway and since the download only got to 500mb-1 gig after having it download for 2 days, I thought that we might as well get it sooner instead of the next Monday.

I was idle for a little bit while using the bank on my phone while inside mine and some guys came up to me without any stickybombs/explosives and decided to try and shoot me, while I was still inside I took no damage what so ever, pulled out my smg and just mowed them down, for some reason you can shoot through the glass but not when your outside?

You can shoot people sat in the car, but the window to do it through is tiny.

mine keeps failing.. gets to the end of the download then fails to install

loads of people in that thread reporting jerky framerate now too, or failing to get past the Launcher.

Oh, btw, I complained about stuttering and seen that some others have the same problem.

Here's what I did that fixed it for me, I have a Nvidia card.
Force Vsync to Adaptive in Nvidia Control Panel and set Vsync off in the game. And set Maximum pre-rendered frames to 1

got it fixed! i simply switched the ingame v sync option to Half. Now I play at 30fps but at least its good for the eyes not to see missing fucking buildings anymore

if it helps im running a 965 BE with a gtx SSC 960 and I don't have any issues running it on high-veryhigh. it could be your video card, if not, something else

Cheapest one is 200k, near the Beach. Just go to the Dynasty 8 website, and click high end at the top. The ones below 200k are garages, above that are actual apartments.

Man, it's really embarrassing that I can run this at my native resolution with a good frame-rate when many other recent releases look worse and run a million times worse.

On a laptop that was sorta outdated 5 years ago. Step your game up other devs. Also for some reason I can't go past 2 stars but that's kinda to my benefit.

Ah good. I got 500k from my ps3 character. You need to rank 12 though right? I'm 11 so that won't be a problem but all of my friends are rank 1-5 or something, can they be my crew?

This solution has been around for some time. Doesn't work for me though.

And it's all pretty fucking unfair, the game runs absolutely great on mostly high for me (GTX 750Ti), even with some advanced graphics options turned on and only the grass and a few other really demanding things cranked to low/off. But that's only for like 20 minutes, after which it gradually starts ramping up in stuttering, eventually going unplayable. And nothing affects that, I tried setting everything to low, to high/very high, turning everything on and off and it still does that. And that's in GTA of all games, where driving cars is essential, it reduces me to driving bicycles. Very slowly.

Oh and the latest patch made everything even worse, now it starts stuttering in five minutes.

Some people are saying they're running the game at 60fps 1080p with everything on Ultra/Very high. I have a fairly new system and when I set everything on Ultra plus all the advanced graphics options on I get maybe 50-20 fps and I can't imagine how people are running it so smooth with such high settings.
Could someone who is from the "run at 60fps 1080p everything ultra" crowd post their speccs?
Also with my current settings I'm using 2,8 of my 4 GB VRAM and I still dip below 60 fps sometimes.
