I was in a 1 on 1 race with a random and it was going so great - courteously giving each other racing room, side-by-side drag races on the straights, safe drafting distances. I was already planning to add him to my friends list. Last straight on the last lap before the finishing line, he side swipes me into a median and starts laughing through the mic. Has the douchiest avatar with the 'dock' winning animation. Calls me a faggot and drives off in an armoured Kuruma.
:suicide:
That's my point, the peoples logic of: "oh you are overtaking me, here - I will ram you and fuck you out of map" is just retarded.
Anyone?
I think a clean save would be better overall. Just maximize the money you get from the heists, I wouldn't waste my money with the stock market, it feels too unreliable.
Is flying a helicopter in Online offensive to people, or considered an act of hostility or something? Everyone feels the need to stop whatever they're doing and shoot at me when my helicopter isn't even armed, one dude went as far as to steal a jet just to shoot me down.
Usually I'm fine but today someone felt the need to take my Cuban 800 down, I wasn't exactly posing any real danger to begin with.
Also I really like going into the passive mode, right next to a player who's about to shoot me.
Getting upset about people using a game element against you to the point that you want to hammer their faces is both hilarious and disturbing. If you want a pure racing game, go play Gran Turismo
Another one of "them".

You might find that post appealing to you.
"Go play grand turismo" is pretty shitty excuse for being a dick in a race game.

I don't know man, I hammer peoples faces in gta5 all the time
then again I don't do it out of anger

I agree with that, using hammer in game against some player is hilarious as fuck, especially if it's your friend on mic browsing internet on phone and unexpectedly gets hammer in his face.

I don't understand this, I have grass quality to ultra and it had no impact on my performance.
Then again I'm only running my games at 1680x1050.
Played with a guy who had lag issues it was a new expierience....

got my lost garage reimbursed by R*
went from $1.5m to 3.4, aw yis. What to buy?
God I can't wait until rank 70
I want that tank, not to shoot at people but just for scare factor
Online I always play passively in non-passive mode, if someone shoots me I shoot back and that's the only time I kill. That or dicking around with friends.
I poured gas all over some guys' personal car (it's a Vacca, open engine on back) when he wasn't looking, he got back in and his engine lit up in flames as he accelerated and exploded.
I need to do this more often.
fxaa is generally intended for small displays with worse graphics cards, as the effect is a lot nicer there
fxaa is basically laptop aa
That's strange because according to the Nvidia comparisons FXAA looks much better than 2x TXAA especially on those far buildings and rooftops in this picture:

The 4x TXAA vs FXAA:

and surprisingly way better than 8x MSAA:

all from here:

Well this kinda answers that concern:
TXAA effectively combats this temporal aliasing whilst simultaneously anti-aliasing geometry better than 8x MSAA.
The crippling loneliness of wandering around in Online finally got to me, seems every player just wants to do their own thing or gun you down.
Hope you fellas' don't mind, but I sent a join request to FAPS2, even if I am just a long-time lurker.
I know the feeling. And it's kinda compounded with Heists too. "Sure... I would love to do these... If I had three friends on the same console in similar timezones."
It's surprising how little people in Online actually seem to talk, except for, well, trash talking as you're being run over while trying to buy clothes or what have you. Maybe that's just on PS4 though.
Played around in 4K for a bit. Just amazing.

so the game won't have pop ins or artifacts

And how was the FPS?
In the city it was kinda playable, maybe around 20-30? I didn't check.
Countryside was a wreck though, especially with fog.
I generally found after my 2nd play through that the characters aren't as badly written as people make them out to be, honestly they're not badly written at all, there's such very little of them.
If you pay attention to all the dialogue in during car rides, cut scenes, side missions and hang outs you can really see the full picture more. The biggest problem with the characters is that there isn't enough of them, and they really could do with some expanding, especially Franklin.
In any case they are by far, BY FAR the best written heroes in the series, I mean compare it to Niko Bellic who is sad because he kills people and then he kills people, let alone pretty much any character in the 3d universe.
Generally I feel like GTA V feels more blockbuster-y and movie-y, which has its up and down sides. One of the down sides being that it seems Rockstar is neglecting the fact that all in all GTA V is a game, the main reason people want it is fun, and they seem to be keen on restricting it in an attempt to preserve the movie-like values, which in my opinion is complete bullshit and wasting potential fun to be had.
Somebody thinks the writing is bad?
Wow. I think it's great, I can finally relate to the characters as human beings. I even unintentionally rp when playing different characters.
Franklin gets pretty bland after Trevor appears though. He is the closest to previous gta characters:cynical "just tell me what to do" smartass guy. Trevor and Michael are much better, they actually make decisions and stuff.
My favorite Rebel truck glitched into disappearance because I decided to store another vehicle in the garage while it's out in the world :(
I blew $100k on mods as well :(
Do you think Rockstar would reimburse over something so feeble?
[editline]23rd April 2015[/editline]
It upsets me so greatly that I just went buuh and decided to drop the game for today
That's my point, the peoples logic of: "oh you are overtaking me, here - I will ram you and fuck you out of map" is just retarded.
I bet you also complain when you get killed in DayZ.
I mean if you lower your guard down it's your problem, there is literally nothing suggesting that a guy won't try his best to win.

I don't race, and my post was directly a reference to that post, good job.
How does one use the DSR anyway? I can't seem to get it to work...
I'm playing crooked cop and I managed to collect such a massive cop ball at the evidence that nobody can get close to the case without dying. There's 10-15 cars and at least double the amount of cops and several helicopters, all killing anyone who gets close.

so, the more detailed my grass is, the less cpu usage?
How does one use the DSR anyway? I can't seem to get it to work...
Go into Nvidia control panel and open DSR Factors in Global Settings, tick all of them. Then pick your resolution ingame

I know you got your answer but I've setup a page here.

Thanks for both of you. I was trying to find the settings in the program specific section : P

I've had that happen, it was a bit confusing at first, but it's a global thing, you could probably downsample your desktop too I think.
Say what you want but I love hunting pubbies for sport. The chase is always better than the catch.

Your sports car might be faster but it can't ramp guard rails!
